Since the characters would be RPing, they'd get to roll all the dice and enjoy all the Mountain Dew... which really would take away a lot from the experience.

Anyone that complains about role players really shouldn't =/ It's what the game was made for, to make an alter-ego, and then play it as you see fit. I'm usually "in character" when typing, but I'll also chat out of character on the microphone. ^_^

The most I've ever been compelled to publicly role-play is through fitting shortcuts when people level and stuff. >_>; I haven't really been lucky/vigilant enough to find a group of active, in-game RPers. (yeah, i posted in the freeform thread on fanworks, but never did anything with it x.x)

I'd roleplay, but... it takes up time, and for some reason it can kinda screw a little when a guy plays as a female character--but not always.

I use to for a time, and probably would be willing to start again provided

1. Theres enough people (Sorry, but 2 people really just don't cut it for a good RP session...)
2. I finish milkking Supreme Commander for as much as I can with out playing multi-player (my craptacular comp can't handle 2000 units on screen shooting at the same time and having my CPU track every shot fired...yet) and the first wave of midterms blow over.

my char has a history see when i got banned the 1st time from psu i was human and since i died my friends in psu made me into a cyborg a.k.a cast and now i am re-born and my memory erased now as i play the game i look for familar faces i knew when i was human and try find my lost life b4 i was banned and since the only person i really cared about quit the night of my ban i always still search for her hoping the she comes baq lol true story

Fortunately, you can put a lot of your characterisms in the Macros. That way, you can fire the *more useful ones* off, rather quick. A lot of characterizations have a few quotes in which you can use them in multiple situations. Yeah, I type in character, at times, especially if I have to be quick-off-the-bat in response to someone else; but in general play, I don't have to type much.

Not necessarily. I personally prefer to have a back story a written up, but not make it widely known. I like having others find it out. But all you really need is a good idea of your character's attitude/ethics/behavior and act accordingly.

Hehe. I do the same. With Tynselle, I simply wanted to introduce the character, and then I decided to post the whole backstory up for her, not long afterwards. But with my 2nd character, I'm doing the 'reveal it as others find out' method. As usual, I'll post the backstory, but I'd rather it be later than sooner. Gotta love the air of mystery aspect of it. I guess through Tynselle, I introduced the little bit of new side-story content I tried to add to the PSU world, and now with Mufonna acting within that content, I can build on it.

right well, i missed getting on at 5:00(damn school work) so sorry if you were waiting coolcat. But i think we should set a date when all PC/PS2 RPers can meet so we can see how many we have. Personally i say tomorrow at 6:00 EST, but if that doesn't work anyone then we can change it. Of course it will be uni 17 first floor of colony. Hmm, I just started the online portion of the game and I'm definitely interested in RPing. I'm on 360. I think RP is way easier in a game like PSU than a fantasy RPG for one big reason - modern colloquialisms ("cool", etc) all fit in quite well in a sci-fi setting. Its pretty easy to roleplay in a game like this, without even trying hard. More people should consider it.

My SO, my brother, and I RP all the time. (My SO and I don't tend to if it's just the two of us, since our computers are right next to each other, but we do if my brother's partying with us)

If you're on the PC/PS2 server and see Shizuka (human female), Hadyn (Newman male), Sandra (female Beast), Byron (male CAST), Sidonie (female Beast), or Sean (male Beast), that would be one of us. We're almost always in-character, so if anyone wants to RP, we can usually be found in Uni 15. We'd be more than happy to RP with new people!
