Those give three times the PA fragments normal S missions give, as well. If you can do an SS mission in twenty minutes, you're getting a better PA frag per second count than any S mission can give, with better or similar rewards otherwise.

So with the PM Evolution Devices, do they sell the upgrades at stores? Or are they special drops from white day or something?

On top of that, do they give some kind of special bonus to your synth. or battle AI once upgraded?

As far as I know they are bought from the room decoration store. The only real differences are in what weapons and PAs they use as well as other various equipment. Some have SUVs and such.

Seems the requirements for the 3 SS ranks we will be getting is 60 for LL S2 and 55 for Lab Recovery S2. Lvl 80 monsters with 3x+ the rewards and 2 PA frags win win in my book.

This update will deliver interesting new Partner Machinery devices to Phantasy Star Universe. Back in Update 002 the PM Device ZERO was added, which reset your Partner Machinery to Production and B St. level 0. These new devices allow you adapt the model (and only that model) of your Partner Machinery. For example: If you own a GH-420 model, you may use PM Device 421 or PM Device 422 in order to change it into GH-421 or GH-422 respectively.

Other known details are that 4_1 models are marketed as "defense type" while 4_2 models are cited as "attack type". It is also known that some models have regenerative HP (as with a Me / HP Restore unit) and others even have SUV weapons!
