PSU Demo Question

Will I be able to use the Demo created character if I purchase a full version of PSU for Xbox 360? Someone told me no, but I don't see why it wouldn't save my information not only to the server, but to my Xbox also. I would like to know because it would be sad to have to create another character I worked hard on already. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately, you do indeed need to start over.
