I would suggest playing each character and job type in extra mode while you are waiting to get online. This will give you a much better understanding of each class and help you to decide which you would like to be.

i suggest playing as a beast hunter first because they have the least expense if u r a beginner with little money. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif

True but I played offline first and look at me now http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif. Anyway they are different but its still the same hack and slash adventure.

Or, be a Human, because of the fact that they're
all-rounded, they're good in any class you pick.
Whereas, Beasts ONLY excel in Melee. Then again,
that's debateable.

Actually, extra mode is a great way to *feel* for what online playstyle, race, and character you want to work on. And while you can't play an exact online class, you have a great choice of weapon selection and such in order to *playtest* a character style, before going online with it. I've successfully tested each character, to see whether I like them enough to put the high amount of online hours to, in extra mode.

It's actually a help, because you go so much faster. I never really had much of a discrepancy, in terms of how fun the character race/main class/weapon combinations are to use, for me.

You are fat.

To prove my point is that not even the expert classes are that ballin! I wana be able to use almost every single kind of weapon as a hunter! But no! You can't! Yes it gives you a GENERAL idea of how each character plays, but not as much as one would think.

Right, but a general idea is better than fucking yourself over by flying blind.

Very true, but that's the secret of having so many weapon choices. You can limit your weapon-set to something similar to one of the online-classes. You work with that, and you get a feel for whether you like those combos. Yes, you are a *super class* in a way, offline; but that's nothing but extra options without having to switch classes as often.

Giving him a general idea is the whole point.

offline a hunter can use swords, doublesabers, twin sabers, sabers, daggers, twin daggers, spears, wands, dual handguns, handguns, claws, and twin claws, rifles and probably another weapon I'm missing. The only thing not offline is cards, axes, and grenade launchers.
