Can someone tell me how to contribute to the fan fictions page? Do I just come into a regular post like this and start a chapter? Or is there a thread for this? Thanks

Basically, all you need to do is just post up your fanfic as normal in this forum. That's the way it gets considered for entry in the Fanfic Gallery.

I look forward to your fanfic. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

So do I write my fanfic straight from the site? Or is there a way to do it on MS WORD and copy it here?

(Sorry I feel like a moron)

Sure, you can write the fic out in advance and then copy/paste. It's often the best way to go, since it protects you from losing anything if there's a problem with posting.

I recommend using a simple text editor, such as Wordpad, since the board can't recognize special characters, most specifically the "curvy" apostrophes that MS Word produces.

And...that should answer your question. Feel free to ask any others that come to mind. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Thank you for your time.

So does my fic need a certain number of views before it is in the actual Fan Fictions section? Or is that voted on?

Actually none of those criteria really matter in how a fanfic is selected for the gallery, and there isn't voting. If it's a good fic, it'll get in.

Anyway, it's best to just concentrate on writing the best you can. Write because you enjoy it, not for recognition. Just have fun; the rest will follow. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

-I noticed everything is in 12 point font on the fics...is that formatted automatically when you post?

-Do you think its better to post your entire fic at once, or should I keep attatching chapters?

My fic is almost ready, it's really long, but I should have my first post after early January.

-The forum formats the font automatically when you post, so just copy/paste and it should be fine. However, formatting such as space between paragraphs is up to you.

-Personally, I think it's better to break up the fic into chapters and post them instead of all at once. It's quicker and easier to read that way, and it's easy for people to keep track of what's going on.

Hope that helps. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif
