Argh.. tried to delete thread.. don't know how... anyway, as I was saying:
My girl has been using the same old rags for a couple of weeks now. I didn't seem to find anything new in shops besides PM evo devices.
And since I'm only 53, S2 missions and new level caps isn't too exciting yet, as I can't play them yet/haven't even capped my character before.

Nope, no new clothes. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif I was hoping the new caseal parts would come out. Perhaps next week?

Seeing as we seem to be getting bits and pieces of the JP updates (according to another thread denoting the JP schedule of updates thus far), We're either getting them on the 23rd with the next content update (doubtful), or in another month (more likely). Talk about a long wait for some new threads! When was the last time we got clothes? Beginning of February?

If you are wondering about the few updates that are in store for us ahead, I made a post in another forum showing the recent JP updates:
(Note, we already a few of these already implemented)

[PSU JP Update 1/11/07] (This update)
http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=201

New Lobby Decorations!
-In the spirit of the winter season, enjoy the decorations that will be implemented. These decorations will stay in effect until february1

New Story Mission!
-Chapter 6 of the ongoing online story will have you battling inside the subway train

Story Mode Selectable Rankings!
-Previously, story mode only got harder depending on what level you were. With this update, you can now choose which difficuty you want.

S2 Rankings!
-It does not end with S rank missions! S2 rankings, or if you would prefer to call it, SS rankings, will challenge your ability to work in a team. There will be several new missions added.
-Thought megid was dangerous before? Think again! S2 Unsafe Passage and Fight For Food will be added.
-Theres more! The next stop is to Parum where you will dodge even more megid in Lakeside Park

Cap Increase!
-All people will be able to farther advace their character from 70 to 80 with this update. This long awaited cap increase will be pleasing to everybody who has had their characters at 70 for weeks.

[PSU JP Update 1/18/07]
Update source (http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=204)

For those importers who wanna know what's coming in this week, and for those US players who want to know what's coming to them in the future, this one is a fairly big content update.

2 New party missions, set in the style of the last 2 party missions, you know the drill, you can solo these but to get an S Grade, you must be in party.

-Giant Red Behemoth
How to get there: From Lakeside head towards the special base.
What's going on: Prevent De Ragan from entering the Raffon Relics.

-Operation to Invade the Jungle
How to get there: From Egam Sanctuary head towards Ohtoku city.
What's going on here: A Rogue sect of the Graal Religious Association has illegally taken up shelter in a deserted temple. Your job is to ambush them from the backdoor of the temple by going through the Jungle, and wreck Agahna Degana.

Mission level upgrades
-Both party missions in existance (Rogues Affair, and It came from the east) will now have S2 levels unlocked

-Rainbow Beast will have S level available

System Adjustments
-Photon Arts will be rebalanced
-Status Adjustments on PMs (maybe they'll be stronger)
-Trap power rebalance (expect the damage of these to go way up)

and of course, the one that makes this update the greatest for me:

-Cosmo Atomizer Rarity Readjustment (That's moon X to you guys)

Item Related
-Grinder Base A can now be purchased in shops

Here's the big one:
-PM Evolution Devices will now be for sale.
This is the 4th evolution, and by using this, you WILL change the appearance, mannerisms and AI of your existing PM.

[PSU JP 1/25/07]
-Story Mode, Chapter 7: "Astral Spirit Festival Obstruction Project" (yes, I realize that's a long title, but that's the best I can interpret it)

Backstory: Astral Spirit Festival is under way on Neudaiz, and Guardians (FINALLY) gets notification that there was a previous assassination attempt on the Priestess (a.k.a. Karen Erra, ch1) and decides to put up yet another security team for this festival as well. Once again, an illusion diguised priestess shows up, but something still seems wrong.

Could Ethan Waber have something to do with this? But then a very LARGE outburst of SEED forms appear in the guard zone...

NPCoTD: Leoginio S.B.

-4 missions upgraded to S2 level
Agata Relics
Both Canyon areas
Underground Stream

[PSU JP 2/1/07] <----The update you are looking for I think
http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=217

-Valentine Lobbies: Self-explanatory, however you might find something odd about the battlefields too... Also get ready for more news concerning GM Event "Sierra's Valentine Present"

-New clothes: This is self-explanatory too.

IMPORTANT
-Boss rebalancing: Any boss monster lv20 or greater will be rebalanced, and most likely strengthened.

Do the JP servers have the trench coats yet?

Rizen
Mar 9, 2007, 01:35 PM
If you are interested in seeing what clothes are available in JP version, check out this site:
http://pwv.sakura.ne.jp/ (The site in English (http://translate.google.com/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Fpwv.sakura.ne.jp%2F&langpair=ja%7Cen&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&prev=%2Flanguage_tools))

And to answer your question, No.

Edit: Just scroll down the side until you see Clothes. You can tell the brand because its in English print. Also note that the site in English breaks the format, so to click properly, use the JP version.

It's called psychological torture J/K
IDK why new clothes haven't been added yet, the wait is killin' me.

It's like all the best looking jackets, pants and whole-suit stuff are being held off for the longest time, while all the so-so to "ok" stuff is added right away.

I don't mind the Future-tech quasi-samurai or quasi-ninja look or the retro late 70's-ish Sci-fi look that much.
But having some nice long coats and pants that are not 70's style would be much prefered...

For now I'm stuck at looking like a triped out psuedo-Japanese-esqe/Carpathian-like
quasi-ninja. lol

What would of been *unique* is if some of those Clothes or Cast Parts were wearable/equipable by the opposite genders. There's nothing wrong with a male character wearing a long metal skirt, Scottish men sometimes wear Kilts.

So I'm all for Metal and cloth Kilts for Male Characters in videogames.

And wouldn't a Female character look hot in a "male's" Braves jacket or the Innocent jacket and only stockings or (male's) Braves pants ? I think they would pretty hawt ^_^;

I just want the Formal dress...
Funny thing... right now, I dont care about weapons or PA. I just want a freaking robe! You see, Jess is not a slender girl, so most of those clothes don't/won't really look too well on her.
So it either Formal dress or Rappy suit http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif I guess I'll try to care about levels and weapons for a bit. It seems I'll have to wait quite a while to remove my old rags http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Why do people care so much about clothes? They don't have any effect on how well your character does in battle.

If customization wasn't such a huge part of PSU, then no one should care. But if they're going to make a game where character customization plays such a huge role, then they could at least spend some more time on it.

haha, ShadowDragon28 you and I think alike.
I like all the best stuff too, im sure most of us do.
I'd like to get those pants/boots you posted above with that biker looking vest with the fur around it... sadly we will just have to wait some more while they add more hyuga story missions...

Oh, but looking good has an effect in my mood using that character.
Somewhat.
Not that I refuse to keep playing using "old rags". I like how my main character looks (I wish I had PSU on PC to take a pic of her, I'd say she is pretty unique), and as I said earlier, most of the clothes doesn't look too good on her since she is on the fluffy side. I'm waiting for a specific set of clothes, and it may take a while before Formal Dress is released, but with each new set of clothes released, I feel I'm a step closer to get that darned dress http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif
