It'd be cool if STEVE ROGERS stayed dead, but others took up the mantle.

That'll probably happen for a while until they decide to just throw him back in a year or two, but whatever.

Alternate idea is get Ultimate Captain America. Man is made of win.

With Steve Rogers dead, there really aren't any Marvel heroes left that I'm crazy about. Much like Superman, Steve Rogers was my idea of what a hero should be. If I had kids, I certainly wouldn't want them looking up to someone like The Punisher or Wolverine.

Well the odds are for it. You got Punisher whom at the end of Civil War picks up Caps mask and walks off with it. Also he is the next in line. Cap was in WWII, Frank was in Vietnam-ish War.

And that beating Cap gave him showed that he had respect for Cap.

I heard about this on a Basketball website of all places couple days ago.

The creator, 90 somethin' yrs young now, is sad to see him go thinking the world needs him more than ever, but this whole political thing going on is something like right wing would want him to be in Iraq Left wing wants him to protest GWB? Something like that, "I don't (fuck with politics I don't) even follow it."

After a huge battle in New York, Cap found out that he was doing the wrong thing for his cause (New York was a demolition zone). Thus him giving up and getting arrested. Not everyone gave up though. The Secret Avengers are on the move.
