It seems like there's a large lack of them online....whenever I feel like playing one, I can't find one. People say they don't play them because of "low exp". I love playing them though.

I'm lvl 70 or 71 and I usually play Hard Episode 2 when I'm online(which isn't often).
I think alot of us are just so used to the Episode 1 places that we enjoy them more hehe
I mean, this is the third rendition of the game, and for those of us who have been around since Version 1, we've always played the same levels.
I think there will be more as time goes on, they aren't that bad. I think some people are turned away by some of the enemies and all the status effects that are caused alot more often.
Time will tell, but keep playing Episode 2 online if thats what you want. Just start an open Episode 2 game and play until people join. =)

I noticed that too. I've been in the mood for some Episode II lately, and I always have to start my own game.

I admit to occaisonally looking for online EP 2 games, but generally don't start my own, or find many. I would imagine that this is why:
1. The temple and spaceship levels arn't that hot...they feature all the same enemies as the Ep1 levels, only the enemies have
-more HP, and give less EXP. I also think they hit harder, and drop FAR less items/meseta too. This makes these levels highly un-beneficial to play.
2. There are generally lots of "Two Person Switch Doors" in the levels, meaning that if no one joins right away, the creator of the game cannot progress alone.
3. Many people find the temple and spaceship to be very long, ardorous and dull offline, so they do not bother to unlock the more fun/exciting Gal Da Val Island and Seabed/Control areas. So chances are, that if there is an EP 2 game, you'll be stuck in the temple.
4. There are ruins enemies right away, and they can prevent you from progressing quickly if you arn't ready for them yet. Example: I can fight well in the Ultimate Caves and Forest...the mines are...eh, but Arlans and Merlans will still slam me, and since they show up in like the first room of the temple, backed up by Ob Lillies it's a big discouragement from playing there.
I would imagine this is what keeps people out of those levels. ST needs to create more insentive to be there, such as cool new quests before people will really get into it. Or they may start later on, as a change of pace once the whole "I have to level up NOW" thing passes and there's more relaxation.

They are not the same power level as their ruins counterpart. In VR Temple the dark monsters are weaker than their Ruins versions, while the Forest ones are slightly stronger. VR Spaceship Gillchichs are also weaker thant their Mines versions

Like the halloween quest?
Overall, I think its the VR Stages that make people hate episode 2. I made a game a few days ago on ult called "No VR" and 3 people joined before I had piped to the jungle

I try to play Episode II online whenever I can, on Very Hard mode. Since there aren't many Ep 2 games whenever I go online, I usually create my own. Since I beat all the Ep 2 stages on Very Hard, I usually play the CCA (Jungle, Mountain, Beach) area, which is my favorite Ep 2 level. I also like Seabed. I usually never play the first two VR levels online.
