Did I mention that I got force to lv10 in one night with this mission? My highest tech was lv4 by the end.

6 minute Lab S2 runs...wow I could imagine how much money you could make an hour... roughly 150k? (Recharging and getting right map cuts into that time.)

FOnewearl-Lina
Mar 12, 2007, 12:34 AM
Roughly that, but since the new NetCash SEED missions came out, people have been grinding those instead of Labs S2, the reward there is like ~28k for 9 mins (not counting the masses of resins that almost always drop from the SEED cores).

5 fortegunners (all equipped with burn trap G's) and a fortetecher could put that mission in it's place rather quickly I'd imagine.

That's crazy. Congratulations!! You've Mastered Sea Lab!!! Captain Howling Mad Murphy would be proud!!! You've earned a refreshing drink of "Be Bop Cola".....yeah!!

Gee. I'd love to see the day when I can be a part of a party that can rip through Sea Lab S2, in similar time.

It doesn't say whether they S ranked the mission or not....you can skip a LOT of rooms on this mission to get a better time. They may have finished it in 9 minutes, but I seriously doubt they fully completed the mission.

Wrong, me and few friends along random people got 9 minutes pretty each run without having that goal mind. It's not that hard, at last if you use the right weapons, PAs and mines.

If you keep "leveling" PAs during a mission you will never get good results, that's why I use lvl30 bullets even if I have more to level.

Now that's totally random, one time my party managed to get a mission without mizuras 3 times in a row, then it took us over 10 min to get a map without them http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I see. With that strategy, that actually means the Gunners must've stocked up almost solely on Rifles and big one-shot weapons. A concentrated fire pattern. This allows the Fighter to be the one that lands more single hits to attract the monsters. Not to mention, even without, the gunners can fire from different positions effectively confusing the monster on which player to attack next.

Weapons with faster shot rates tend to draw hate, so I figure those would be left out.

Hmm. I would guess with my position, I'd either stock up on rifles to join the rifle team, or I'd be a decoy and keep the Twin Gunnies, since they are awesome long range hate makers. The bad thing is, I'd probably need to be close to Level 80 to have the Hitpoints required to survive a good hit.

Yep. But it's in here too. However, it's a rather simple equation. Hate in PSU is all about rate of attack or rate of fire. It has nothing to do with damage, or elemental hate rates, etc. Just rate of fire. Even if you have a very weak pair of twins, hitting a monster across the room for 40HP a shot; the monster could care less if a ForteFighter is hitting him with a few weapon swings for 1000. Monster simply counts how fast something hits it, and it will want that Guardian dead.

It's not about rate of fire. At. All.

The only thing that matters is who hit it LAST. In that case, rate of fire's handy, but as long as you hit something AFTER someone else, it'll come after you. It's pretty easy to manipulate them that way.

Really. Hmm. I always thought it was rate of fire since I seem to have no trouble pulling mobs off of everybody. Maybe it's the rate of fire with the Twins that always ensures I'm the last to hit. I should check that out more often, but I'm often so much on the run, or worried about where everybody is, to see if that's true.

Except all of those can be furied or pinappled by fGs and, with the exception of Carriguines, virused/burnt to death. No need for a fF http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

Hey, you know what? Lets all just boot out all of the Fortefighters. Yeah, screw melee, only Newman Fortetechers w/ their nukes and CAST Fortegunners with their rifles and shotguns and their traps should be allowed to do Seabed or this game in general! Fortefighters suck and drain PP from Fortetechers when they get hurt cuz the fTs have to cast resta to protect the S rank. So Fortefighter = kick, they have no place in this game cuz they suck and are totally useless, and if anything, are only a hinderance to our team.

Grenades are sometimes referred to as pineapples, 'cause, well, look at 'em. (In RL, not the glowing exploding nerfballs in game). The art of pineappling something involves launching the explosive, then it detonates, resulting in something being "pineappled". The more you know!

I love FF's, especially Beasts and Casts, they can speed up a run significantly by using a well-placed Power Nano or Grom Buster! (Oh my, Delicious FF Grom Buster...)

Akaimizu

I just did some Sea Lab SS runs, and I'll say, they maybe as good as people say they are. I can't even fathom how many times easier it is (without bees, because we never fought them this time around) than Hive S. I mean, these enemies have tech scenarios I can reliably dodge. Not the high speed devastating tech chuckers of Hive S.

Still, we had a couple of Beasts with us, and it was good fun. Maybe had 2 deaths, in our entire group, within a run, worst case.

Techniques were shared with one Fortefighter and myself (Guntecher). Not a speed run, mind you; but a fun way to get to know the level.

I'm a level 52 Fortegunner and I'm having a lot of problems with the Mizuras in the S difficulty. Here are my stats and Bullet levels.

http://suprfile.com/src/2/6b9ky5l/stats.jpg (http://suprfile.com/get.php?id=6b9ky5l)

Frozen Shot Lv 15
Grav Shot Lv 12
Twin Freeze Lv 12
Twin Grav Lv 10
Barada Diga Lv 13

I have access to Falgohoh, Ryo-Rayratore, Shigga Stam, Phantom, and Deathmaker. My problem is I can't seem to deal a lot of damage and get behind them. In a small square room with four of them, it took me and a Level 70 Male Newman fortetecher about five minutes to beat all of them. Even though I'm always moving, that move where they charge seems to connect 70% of the time even though I'm not touching them.

With the Fortetecher's Shifta I was dealing about 240 damage with the Deathmaker and Grav Shot when they weren't blocking.

Omega's tip #1:

Unless your a force, avoid Mizuras.

Akaimizu
Mar 14, 2007, 12:02 PM
Yeah. If you pick the non-bee maps, you basically have an easier time in Sea Lab S. That's probably why I had it so easy. We didn't run maps with them.

However, on the easier maps, you'll have a grand ol' time. SE4 owns that map, for rangers. Too bad I'm just a level or two from getting my SE4. However, once I'm there I can say hello to real damage.

csmicbcklsh
Mar 14, 2007, 01:28 PM
I know everyone pretty much said this already, but to be honest Vuman, you shouldn't even be facing the Mizuras. Leave them to the techers in your group or in the best scenario don't even start a mission if you know they will be there. Two of the maps in Lab Recovery have a variant that completely avoids them, so find someone to party with that knows what to look for.

I've done it in 12 minutes, but I don't care much about speed. Though traps do make the last room more easier, just have to watch out for that dambarta. Gotta love that lag when someone's getting frozen and you seen no dambarta anywhere. Fortegunners can equip virus traps g's while us figunners have to stick to burn trap g's.... 1231 vs 984 does make a huge difference.

Fighgunners aren't as powerful as fortefighters, if you need a tank, then fortefighters fare far better than fighgunners.

I'm not going to complain. I'm a human fortefighter and I know my place. I know what I am and am not capable of. It's almost impossible for a game of any genre not to have broken aspects. From Magic the Gathering and Yugioh, all the way to PSU and Halo 2.

Why are people always complaining about the dang Mizura's? THEIR NOT ENDRUM BUG/BUGGE/BUGGES PEOPLE!

They don't turn around, get at their backs... wack, wack, wack, with no PA use.

Or for the valiant Gunner, remove your ATA reducing PA's and shoot them with Neutral, yet accurate, bullets.

Only the BUG/BUGGE/BUGGES actually move and turn from their original position...

So stop whining, and hit them without PA's in the back as the don't even budge.
