What is the worst weapon type?

Ok a bunch of ppl responded to my post about hated enemies so i decided to make a new poll. Its pretty self explanatory. Which weps suck the most. Tell me if a forgot something. Also dont start flaming if i listed ur favorite wep. Some of the choices i havent ever used, ive just heard ppl complain about them.

I think the Banjo. Unless it's the dueling type. That actually may be useful at times. Definitely not for hitting, though. Dueling Banjos mainly scare Koltovas and Distovas, or any SEED-infested monster that could resemble a pig, of sorts.

Still, since classes cover the Bard's use anyway with Techs, what's the use of the Banjo? I mean, you can't play it AND dodge S-level enemies, and you have to keep playin' the tune to keep the effect up.

Pistol's the worst, simply because it's the only weapon that doesn't do a single thing unique. Any class that can use pistols has better options with the same SEs available, except for fFs. Crossbows, machineguns, twin pistols, everything's better than pistols.

I use Handguns as a Fighgunner and find it more useful than any other left hand gun available. Machinegun lacks accuracy, power, and substantial PP and Crossbow is too slow for my tastes. Handguns have a quick firing rate, decent power, strong PP (I rarely, if ever, run out of PP, even on my B'duki Re +8), and ease of use.

As far as worst, though, I'd give it up to Knuckles and single Claw. Knuckles are outclassed by single Dagger, considering they have the same number of hits in a combo and Dagger's PAs are more versatile, while single Claw has terrible PAs compared to single Saber (Gravity Strike is a monster).

there is no point in using a single handgun, you might as well use dualies as a fighgunner. Crossbow is very good as soon as you get the dual shot. As a fighgunner, you'll prolly be in close with a dagger/saber anyways, then crossbow hitting 2 shots... it's equal if not slightly stronger than dual handguns.

Single Handgun is useless for me, since Im a Fighgunner and can use Twin Handguns theres seriously no point in using Single's. Since Machinguns are better to pair with a Saber/Dagger IMO.

I wouldn't say any certain weapon is the "worst", but I can say what is not so good for me, or not my preference. I don't like single sabers, swords (like Caliburn), single claws, or twin sabers (but I'll use them if I have to for Assault Crush). Swords seem to be very unpopular on the melee front.

Yeah, swords get no lovin. Only female characters seem to be able to use them well really, which is quite strange methinks. Least useful in my opinion is probabaly single hangun and twin claw, for males at least.

I do use Twins, but Handgun coupled with my Dagger is best for me, as I explained. So there is a point to using Handgun: I like it and it works for me. I can pop off two shots nearly as fast as one with Crossbow (same effect, essentially), and the time frame in which I'm actually using the left hand is only a few seconds while I close in on an enemy or after I blow one away from me.

Twinnies are another matter entirely. I use them mainly for causing status effects quickly and for taking out Tengohgs, of course.

methinks Rune is right i dont like this post as much as my enemies one either. ppl are bound to get pissed and this will turn into a flame war and get locked. heh i use all the melee weps that have been mentioned as being bad so far except for single and double claws and i use mechguns. At least with enemies no one gets offended, except maybe the idiots at Sega who designed such retarded monsters.

much to my surprise, most weapons are about...equal. When you look at speed, # of hits in a regular combo, number of hits in a PA combo...it all kinda balances out.

Certainly I favor certian weapons vs certain enemies (low DFP enemies might get the Macine gun, or example), but really I have no weapons I find "unusable."

I understand this statement completely, but that's why it's intended for groups of enemies. On one enemy it does low damage. Example: My Crea Doubles 50% light will do roughly 250 damage to a dark enemy per hit. But when I get 4 enemies around me that's 1000 damage a swing. That's good damage output.

On average we'll say a swing does 150 damage on the common doublesaber... so 4 enemies would be 600 damage a swing which is pretty darn good. No one should use a double saber on a single enemy, ever.

I don't see why people are so down on knuckles. Repeating the first two normal combo hits can shove out damage blindingly fast. Also they're highly accurate, though nobody tends to notice that stat except for beast characters... then again, I do have some high % light knuckles to own HIVE with.

I don't really care for any of the knives anymore. Actually, I don't really care for melee weapons that Protransers can't use, even though I probably will never get around to making one...
