people who have experience with Fraps and PSU what are good settings to record on?
I seem to get lag whenever things load when i run fraps. It's only a little but but i don't like it happening... wspwcially when i'm recording.

What! Recording which is essentially an intensive process makes my game slowdown!? What a shocking turn of events.
Also, just record at whatever settings your PC can handle :/

I'm in the same boat. I can record fine at 30fps, but I still get minor lag sometimes. I remember reading somewhere (might've been here on PSOW) that you'd need a dual core system to even record 60fps video.
As for my settings:
PSU
- 1024x768 32-bit windowed
- Frameskip 1
- Detail set to max
- Clipping (all 4 settings) set to max
- Normal textures
- MIPMAP on
- Motion Calculation - hardware
- Post Effects on
- High LOD - 32
- Low LOD - 32
- Display Buffer - 12
Fraps
- Records half-size of program window
- 60fps
- Recording sound
Not sure if this'll help you.

On the same kinda topic, what do you guys use to edit the movies? or can you do that in FRAPS too.

i'll be using windows movie maker + PS7 + whatever else i have on my PC that i should have ^.^
I figure it out thanks to those settings...i can run at 100% i just need to have it full screen so the CPU isn't focusing on several other things at once ^.^ all i have to do now is tweak "display buffer" and decide between half-size and full ^.^
