Using the google translator the official PSU page seemed to show that a frying pan item was released with the March 8th Japanese update. I am now hoping this update arrives in the U.S. so I can get the opportunity to acquire this obviously invaluable item! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Below is the translated text from the Japanese page (http://phantasystaruniverse.jp/news/wis/?mode=view&id=255)

------------------------------------------------
Acquisition condition of item “frying pan”

In order to acquire the frying pan, March 8th (the wood) including the flame attack mission which plans transmission, it is necessary for 1 times of everything to clear the flame attack mission of the below-mentioned seven. (Degree of mission hardness, appraisal when clearing is ignoring)

* Mission of planetary palm *
Grassy plain of flame sea”
The flame flower the garden which blooms”
Seabed facility destruction by fire” (* March 8th transmission amount)
Purification order of moment” (* March 8th transmission amount)

Mission of planetary [niyudeizu] *
Heat waves the island which fluctuates”
The flame flower which becomes voluptuous”

Mission of planetary [motoubu] *
Flame valley of fantasy”

The frying pan at each world of 1 accounts, respectively becomes the distribution up to 1. Assuming, that condition had been satisfied with the plural characters of the same world, at one world it becomes the distribution up to 1.

Mission participation remuneration (the PA fragment) no degree with when it has received, there is no influence in acquisition condition of the frying pan.

At the time of flame attack mission clearing, when it is in the lobby area, because it does not mean to clear that flame attack mission please note.

Not sure what it is and I am not saying it is especially "new" news but just pointing it out. Does anyone know anything about the requirements to get the item? It looks like a fun item earning event.

The frying pan is one of the prizes in the Netcash Ultimate Attack event. Since we didn't get that event, we won't be getting the frying pan.

It's a saber type weapon. The photon element is the color of the bottom of the pan. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif and instead of the attack button saying "attack" it says "cook" XD also has a nice "bonk" sound effect.

Ahh, answered my question before I asked it ^_^ Thanks. Is it quite a comical bonk sound or just a dull metal thud do you know? http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Just because we might not get the netcash thingy, doesnt mean we wont get the frying pan. You guys dont even know if were going to get the netcash thingy or not, assumptions can get you killed. If we dont get the netcash then ST might make a different way for the U.S. to get it.

Please tell me food items are useful when the frying pan is equiped.
Something like turning all harmful food items into heals and ones that already hare heals, get an extra boost. Not that I'd use them, but still. It would add an extra layer of detail to the game.

You can get the full Netcash info here: http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=136075&forum=20

And no, the fry pan is not available yet. We're not quite sure when ST's giving it out, hopefully it will appear in our boxes next week.

I believe Netcash sponsored the Ultimate Attack, like on PSO BB, it was Yahoo's MAXIMUM ATTACK, and AOL'S MAXIMUM ATTACK

so pretty much if you can just find someone willing to sponsor it then perhaps we'd get an Ultimate Attack

Its just a bunch of new missions. There's no reason they need a sponsor for it.

But all those missions are being pulled out once the event is over I believe, either way Netcash is Sponsoring the Ultimate Attack, soo apparently ST wants someone to sponsor it

Yeah, that's how all the Maximum Attack events worked on PSOBB, both japanese and american servers. We got AOL and Yahoo sponsered cups and they got a probably better sponser as they recieved real prizes like crappy key-chains.

No idea why it has to be sponsered just for digital prizes for us but I'm sure that's how it will work again.
