Yeah, decided to pick up the pencil once again. Main reason being I started doodling with a .5mm pencil instead of my (newly) bulky .7mm's. No name for this character, just something I drew. . . Took forever to get a good reference picture with google. . . unless there's some better way, I'm all eyes.

Here's my reference picture.

Please, be brutal with critiques. I want an honest opinion on what's been corrected (for those who remember my previous drawings) and what I still need to work on.

Here's a bigger version for those that want to see it. . . Not sure if it's any better, scanner owned this one a little.

Why make her so sad when your source is so happy?
Why add more clothes when she's clearly wearing a bikini?

If you're not use to source imaging, just copy the image. Infact that'll probably help you in the long run.

Those legs cross stronger. There are other minor tweaks you can do as well. Take your reference pic, print it out and draw lines repersenting how the body moves.

Main reason there's more cloths deals with the fact I'm not that good at drawing swimsuits >_>;

Source imaging? Say wha?

This is your source image.

Print it, draw on it, make notes etc etc.

Plus learn how to draw swimsuits, or moreso, nothing at all. Get the figure nude done right, then add clothing.

part of drawing convincingly is conveying that there is a body under the clothes. learning to draw nudes or at least people in swimsuits is a good way to learn the prinicples of this,

also try to take an image and copy it exactly. you will learn lots more this way and improve much more drastically.

better yet, use real life models. pictures that are drawn from photosgraphs always have qualities that drawings from life don't and a person with a trained eye can usually tell.

EDIT: did I mention this will make you improve drastically? there is really no greater method, but some people find it boring.
