My threshold of tolerance isn't so great. I've never grinded anything past 4 times, as I usually get super scared past that. I've broken quite a few things trying to get to 4, much less past 4, and I've never been in the money to easily say I could risk losing it.

My addiction to grinding started the other day and I can't stop..it's like you want to stop for every time you fail, but you just gotta keep going! I must have gone through 40+ w'gacros until I finally got one at +10! A part of me died that day, too. and ever since then i've been dying to grind the rest of my weapons for my alts. :D...

I only use A-Rank weapons because if I didn't, I'd grind everything I had until it broke (like I did with my 5*s back in the day...I had one set of twin daggers to my name).

A day or so after A-grinders are released, I'm sure I'll have the gear of a level twenty. Except for my armor.

I did not know this. Two rare items are needed to synth the Kohibumiteri and they are a pretty common scripted item, right? I just assumed this logic was the same for the Deghanna Cannon as well.

I hate grinding in PSU. I'm not a big fan of leaving things up to dumb luck when it comes to my weapons and armor. I've broken Kubara weapons on the first non-guaranteed grind, and it just feels awful. I had some luck, some good grinders, and a "Very High" chance to succeed and they still broke. It's disheartening.

I don't know how people are going to grind the Agito Repca (because it's worthless unground). Considering it's 12* rarity, it's probably got an abysmally low synth rate (Single Digits?), and needs a ton of rare synth materials to make. And then it needs to be ground up to be useful. That's an exponentially monumental risk!

The only time I'm ever grinding now, is having two of the same item and grinding each one by one simultaneously until one breaks. That way, should one violently explode I'm still well off with another ground as far as it makes it.

Actually, most high-level rare weapons seem to have abnormally high synth chances (Halarod is somewhere in the 70s, whereas the 9* rod is 49%; Halp Serafi seems to have a 100% base synth chance; I'm sure there will be more examples).


Regardless, you are correct in stating that it will most likely be difficult to grind it. However, keep in mind, we do not know any online grinding stats for S-ranks. It could possibly turn out that grinding S-ranks has a notably higher success rate than other weapons. Honestly, this would not surprise me too much.

The Kohbumiteri[sp?] is a 10* bow, only findable on the Valentines Day event, from Lv80+ Rappy Amure. Being a S-grade weapon, it requires S-grade mats, iirc. Love Note, also a drop only off the Rappy Amure, is a nessessary item to synth the so-called 'Love Bow'. All that togeather makes it pretty damn rare...

Degahna Cannon is also a big rare horde...
1- In needs 15, count 'em, 15 Rubinad, a 7* rare Synth Mat.
2- The Adahna Cannon is hard enough as a drop, but oinly 1 is needed.
3- the Board itself only drops on Grove of Fanatics S, and only off the Boss really...

But, Degahna Cannon can be found all year round, not In a 2-3 week period... And the synth rats are quite damn annoying...

SEGA's Synth Rate crap really pissed meoffwhen I failed 2 Aksucs, and a Twin Crea Saber...

i just got some last surviors and rayrators to lvl 10 they own now better then most A class daggers i grinded 3 last survivors and 2 rayrators. (i think thats how u spell it) i had +9 b grinders and lower ones to start the beginning up

All my weapons are hacked, all my friends' weapons are hacked, and all of THEIR friends' weapons are hacked. I play PC/PS2, and it's a way of life. I even hacked a 1* Saber just because I could. [/sarcasm]

Rares are just as rare on PC/PS2 as they are on XBox360 if you actually go out and hunt instead of buybuybuy. (I prefer the hunt method). Been looking for a Crea Doubles for a long while now for my fighgunner friend, still haven't seen a board drop! Back on topic...

I have the same problem as you, Don, lol. I broke 40+ 5* Canes just trying to get one to +10. I am damn stubborn, and even if it breaks me I will get what I'm after... so yeah, you can count on me, like DJ, to go just about bankrupt when A Grinder boards come out.
