1. Don't buy any games!!!
2. Buy a large memory card(1gb is acceptable, 2 is preferred)
3. Visit a site for psp's that i can tell you about if you pm me.
4. Download Dark_Alex's 3.10 custom firmware.
5. Download popstaion GUI.
6. Format your memory card once you flash your psp with 3.10 CF.

Honestly, the psp isn't a very good system if it's not hacked, but abiding with your topic I would say to give some of those mosnter hunter games a try or at least a little research.

Thank you dizzy. E.g. right now I'm playing FF7 on my psp. I really love just being able to whip out my psp in the middle of algebra 2 and play some ps1 games. So far I've played Spyro, Crash 3, and Mega Man Legends(same game as mega man 64).

Ok Oran good RPGs: Valkyrie Profile, Tales of Eternia, Kingdom of Paradise, Dungeon Siege, Monster Hunter (I'd wait for Monster Hunter 2 to drop), Legend of Heroes is AAAIIIIGHT, not great just alright, Monster Kingdom: Jewel Summoner (pokemans, ATLUS STYLE!), X-Men Legends, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, and Untold Kingdoms are all RPGs with varying degrees of goodness.

I believe Ys: Ark of Napishtim is released on PSP, and released locally, as well as japan. Importing optional?

The minimal hack you should probably go for is at least taking off the region for jp/us games, if applicable.
