An important point here that the page mentions is that you don't need to play on the demo server this time in order to receive Tails with an existing subscription. New users, however, are required to. (Er, assuming that this isn't just poorly worded...)

You must play on the demo servers during the weekend to receive Tails.

In any case this doesn't quite explain why people have Tails now...

Last time I was on the demo for about 15 minutes and got a Sonic. I think I'll do the same and hope that gets me a Tails. And if not, eh- I'll get over it. Tails isn't killing Vahras for me.

Ah, it seems to me like you don't know my situation.

*Ahem* Well, there was some time back Shadow_Moses posted about a certain someone having purchased 3 Tails figures from Players' shops.

That "Certain Someone" would be myself. :3 I spent well over a Mil to get them. Two of which I kept, and the other I "hooked" a close friend up with... Foou still owes me 200K...

But anyways.. now I get to rightfully own one :3.

Don't be so down, I was absolutely infuriated when I came to find that -I- didn't have a Tails figure. *Points to Gamercard* See that? Tails.. If I didn't get a figure I would have made sure all hell would've broken loose. So yeah.. 1Mil on 3 Tails.. should show -some- kind of dedication.. so...yeah.

It doesn't specify whether you need to play all weekend on the full version servers or on the demo.

Well, the first time you only had to make sure you played each day. So a little time on Saturday and a little time on Sunday worked. I doubt they would ever do a thing that would require you to be on the whole time. Companies understand that sleep-thing and that RL thing, and they specifically avoid promoting things that are unhealthy.
