Weird thing about S2 missions...

Killing all monsters is not a requirement?

I was running Linear Line S2 with a friend and we deliberately skip rooms hunting rappies, but we somehow ended up with PA fragments.

So we tried again deliberately skipping some mobs (91 out of 109ish last try) and sure enough, we S-ranked. This happen in any of the S2s?

Mmmm Not surtain but it diservse investigation (cuz I'm lazzy and greedy).
I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen in the new co op missions.

i was in a crimson group and a guy died w/o a scape. we all still got an S rank and PA frag. even the guy who died. weirdness all around i'd say.

hmm...well if this be the case, then giresta might not be so useless after all...i mean then again, moon atomizers drop a lot, so you still don't need it, but if dying wont prevent an s rank in S2 missions...then huzzah!

you sure you didn't get an A and not realize it because in s2 missions an a rank still nets a pa frag and an s rank gives two

A still gives u one? didnt kno that....i came in late once on Crimson Beast S2, got an A, and only MP and Meseta...

You didn't know that because it's not true. At least, I know it isn't for UP / FFF, and you know it isn't true for Crimson Beast. I've gotten a number of A's in both LL missions while soloing for Rappies and I've never gotten a PA frag for it.

FYI, this doesn't just apply to the S2 mission. I've been running that rappy map (starts with a path to the left) on C rank and have always gotten S rank after skipping monsters (100 Meseta and 2 MP lol)

I think there is just a set minimum monsters that you have to kill per mission (in this case, 91) since the number of monsters is variable on that mission.

No, it was definately S rank + 2 frags :x (man, i can't do that smiley without looking pissed)

We did a minimum-kill of that run too, 67 mobs, and still got A (don't think we got any frags)

But yeah! It was that type-B map, so maybe it's just that mapset..
