I'm a hardcore Twins Fan, but our mascot is somehow a Bear?

That should be the Wild mascot.

Do YOU see a bear? If you say it's a wolf, I'll kill you.

Are the odds kinda low for the Cubs in Vegas to go all the way this year so you could bet a dollar and win a country?

It was like that once for the GSWarriors, but I thought I'd be happier with the dollar.

Nah, I believe Chicago's sports-stations have them at around 90 wins or so. I'd have to drop like 5 bucks to win that country.

And hey, GS has Baron Davis. Don't fuck with Baron Davis.

Then it isn't that bad a crapshoot. Long gone are the days of Corky Ramano:Sosa and even Moises Alou (from the Giants too), best of luck to the Cubs to break their drought.

Baron's the man. He's a man's man with that Action Hank beard this year. He could have been an All Star if he didn't get injured, seems like there was an injury bug going around that week.

Thanks much. I'm the stereotypical "die-hard, lifelong" fan, but I'm also a realist. And realistically, the Cubs (once again) were hoping for Prior and Wood to somehow return to their former selves.

I'm just hoping for the post-season this year, and then build on that. I mean, it would be nice to be like the White/Red Sox and just win the damn thing now, but realistically...

Didn't someone find the Bartman ball and blow it up or something like that?

No ball, no curse!

Yeah, the owner of Harry Carey's Restaurant in Chicago. They actually had it on tv, it was so fucking stupid ;o.

I'd say that if there was a curse, it's still around. 2004 and 2005 both qualified as pretty miserable I'd say.

Obscenity

Apparently they gave up on at least half of that the other day when they sent Prior to the minors. Realistically, the Cubs don't have the pitching to go all the way. I wouldn't be surprised if they take the NL Central, since it's such a weak division this year, but I have a hard time seeing them getting past the first round of the playoffs.
