So...anyone else have synthing rituals? :)

Just wondering if anyone else is a psycho like me and actually does something crazy before taking out 8 and 9 star weapons and armor to try and help the PSU Voodoo spirit into making them work.

Personally I change the channel on my tv (On Xbox 360), lower my sound so I can't hear if it works or not, close my eyes, and then hit A, A, up A. And whenever I hit the last A (which takes it out) I let out a little yell of hope. Then I take a deep breath, pray to sonic silently, and hit video 1 to see if it worked or not.

So far I made a 26% fire crimsonline doing that, and 2 gigushlines, and then the ONE time I didn't do it I broke 3 armors in a row :'(. I'm always gonna do that from now on.

uhm actually i do do something. usually right before i synth i close my eyes and yell "Oh please!" about a hundred times while the music plays. Then its done and im like "damn" or "Teh Wewt"

I hunt rares while its being made. I know it seems weird but i got two Har-senba's by doing this, one with 26% fire http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif. i feed my pm lvl 1 - lvl 10 n00bs and she is very happy made 2 del jagnus when i did this and a 99% ice crea dbles lol i say more noob sacrifices !!

Before i start the synths, i put in all the materials needed, and make sure the proper board is inserted, then i select the 'start synth' option, and i check to see how long it will take for my synth to phail meh v.v

When I'm synthing lots of things at once, I often find myself taking out one of my finished items and ending conversations with my PM before talking to it again and taking out my next item. This all stems from one or two occasions where I was synthing A TON of items and I took them all out really quickly and within a 1 minute span found myself down many millions. Ever since I've had a bad feeling about quickly taking out my finished items and now try to do it as slowly as possible.

Me and my friends made a ritual where you dance in front of the PM for 10 minutes before making an armor like as if it were a rain dance. It worked for us ( mentally) since we made a sori-senba on first try before everyone really had one. It was given to a friend as a present.

Then I check for items in the morning, and swear and pimp slap her some more if she fails.

uhm, I think to myself... I hope this works. On grinds it depends on how many of that weapon I have left. If I'm down to the last 2, I'm saying, this better friggin work. If a rare synth fails, like one of my Crea Doubles attempts in the past, I say F*** then move on. Luckily, my Crea Doubles synths were very nice after that point. Ah Crea Doubles, you made me a master of LL, but I still can't find a darn [B] halp serafi!

Having gone 6/8 in Yamata-Senba synths so far, I just have to say my ritual is th*Gets shot by Sophia*

Sophia, my armor PM, is certainly having more success than my beloved Eden, range PM, which is just strange given success rates. I think my new ritual will be exorcising the evil out of Sophia. You can't be this good at synthing armors without demonic influence.

I tend to prepare a boiling pot. Then I get the blood of a chicken, the shavings off the back of a live frog, a drop of Antimony (a known poison, safe in very small amounts, but helps the Melancholy), and put those into the pot. After that, I put in a touch of menthol.

I stir carefully, not to take in too much of the fumes while chanting, "Nur Ab Sal is a mighty god and his eyes see through..."

After a few minutes of this, I then grab one of those Shrunken heads, dip it in the pot, and then put it on a piece of rope and spin it. I count to three and then whatever direction the head spins and stops, I follow it until I reach what I think is one of the locations previously crossed by a feared Pirate, back in the day.

Oh?! You mean, what ritual I do for Synthing? Um. Well I generally just prepare the synths and come back after some monster *suppression* hee hee. If I'm feeling particularly unlucky, that day, I'll leave the item in there to simmer a bit. The next time I'm feeling average or lucky, I take it out.
