Why cant I equip guns?!?!?!

its the strangest thing. i created my 4th character, Link. he's Human. started out as Hunter. and right from the start if i put a handgun on my palette and go into battle, whenever i change hands from sword to gun, i can shoot once, but it automatically switches back to my sword!! WTF i tried changing classes to Ranger and i still cant use the left hand. i used the shotgun no problem. has anyone had this happen? any suggestions before i wipe out Link...>.<

could it be that the gun isn't loading up as quick as the saber for the attack its happened to me had to give it a minute before i could use it

seems like i had a problem like that happen. theres a button on my controler "slow" i think i hit it to see what happened once, and i got stuck where it would go back and forth like that after a shot. Try unplugging your game controler "if you have one" and replugging it back in.

no. i've tried it over and over. i've had the gun always equiped and it never works. i just keep pressing L1,square,L1,square... to shoot. i tried equiping only the guns in my left hand and it switches back to the empty hand...:/

Hmm i'm not sure the option (weapon/technic swap maybe?) but is sounds like you have it set you where you have to hold down r1 or whatever system you are on button to use the left handed weapon.

I think I know why. It could be becuase your chars when created have default play settings. Go to your menu>system>options. From there, go to Weapon/TECHNIC Swap. You can choose between hold and click. I'm thinking you have hold selected and thus why you would have to hold L1. (unless you're already holding it >.>). If that is the situation, simply change it to Click http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

I just hope this is right >.>

EDIT: Wait, default settings also have you hold R1 to take out your gun. So if you actually mean L1 to hold your gun out, then you also have to switch that as R1 is default

All those 61 levels of Jess, the 25 levels of beast Guarionex, and the following 34 levels of human Guarionex after restarting him holding a button to shoot.
I thought switching to click would be a good idea, since I ended up casting shifta or resta instead of shooting once in a while, but now I'm trying to get used to no hold the button. (I even hold it when using ANY gun, like shotguns, rifles, bows ot twin handguns T_T )

I do that, too ^_^;; I don't think I could ever manage to just click the button, I'd constantly get confused. Hell, I hold the button when using fists or spears XD
