5/6 is a lot closer to 67% than 1/6 is. THAT's what so gettng my goat.

But the success is only for *each individual* synth, not overall. Like throwing a die, it doesn't care about what the previous result was, the chance of each number to show is the same.

6 attempts is a fairly small sample to make any assumptions about. Over the long term (several hundred synths), you could expect to get 67% of them. You just started off with an unlucky streak.

ok, my man, why don't you calculate the odds of failing 5/6 synth attempts. Here, I'll do the math for you.

1/3*1/3*1/3*1/3*1/3 = 1/243 or a .4% chance of that occuring.
