ibcw (in before console wars)

Although, in all seriousness, that sucks. Very sorry, man. Dunno about Sega, but some companies have a CD exchange program where you can send it in and get a replacement for a nominal fee. Prolly worth a call, at least.

They're selling new copies for only 20 bucks at Game crazy, if you have one near you, that's probably your best bet.

Sorry to hear that. If I ever broke the CD to my favorite game just when I was about to play it I'd.......well be really pissed since it's a dreamcast game too it's hard to find those in stores.

Now I have almost no one to help level up alts! Not that I ever did... but I helped Rashiid with Sha`raun once...

Oh well. I need that bang head emote. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

You should try bringing the disc to a local store and see if maybe they'll swap it out. I know at my store we probably would. So long as you want the exact same thing, a lot of stores, especially smaller game stores, will usually cooperate.

As much as you and I don't see Eye to eye, waking up to a broken disk sucks. Perhaps its time to make sure you aren't sleep walking?

Dude, the exact same thing happened to me! The slit comes from the center right? I thought it was just my bad luck that happened, there must be something wrong with the disks :/
Game store wouldn't refund, I had to end up getting a cheap one off eBay.

360's destroy disks now? I guess heavy gaming sessions is a no-no on 360 otherwise we'd be hearing the same thing from PS2 users if it was the disk (using the same format afterall).

Sucks to hear regardless... I remeber the days of my DC DRE's but it wasn't the result of the disk... but the systems lens gone the way of the infamous PS2 DRE's.

I thought maybe I had a shoddy disc or 360, but I have a new one of BOTH and I'm still getting the same wood chipper sounds loading blocks sometimes. PSU is really the only game I have this problem with. Looks like ST put some mojo on the discs to break drives (and discs in Rashiid's case.)
