What if Sega released the Phantasy Star Online Collection on xbox360?
It would contain PSO episodes I, II, III, and IV, and would be playable online with your PSU Guardians liscence.
What do you guys think? Should we petition Sega to make it?
Discuss.

There is a similar thread to this one already, but could be a good idea for the more avid PSO players of the world who are updating to next gen consoles.

I don't understand, why they can't just make the PSO disc from Xbox work in the Xbox 360, since the Xbox servers are still working.

Its the backwards compatability, they would have to update the Xbox 360 to play that game, and microsoft is lazy.
(Plz don't sue)

They should release Blue Burst as a download only option. Charge people some MS points to download it and the hunters license fee. It would make more sense than repackaging the game again and selling it through retail once again.

Hm, there's a thought. But I do wish that they'd release an offline-compatible Episode IV- that in and of itself would make me go out and splurge on an XBox 360!

I'd get a 360 for Ep IV. Mostly cos friends of mine have 360s and I'm sure I could convince them to get PSO! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

... yeah right.. Xbox its not the right choice, indeed we should say that a new PSO Ep. is the second step to be made..Instead of creating "add ons" for PSU game....Some PSU concepts are very interesting, but PSO is the higher mark of Phantasy Star saga. And, i dont have a Wii, but if there is a chance of Wii having a PSO game...Sure i will buy it!
-A PSO game in PS3, was very good indeed...

I would seriously get an Xbox 360 for this (while I wouldn't for PSU).
Although I would prefer a Wii one for the type of diverse community it would attract (ala GameCube).
Updated graphics wouldn't go amiss either.

i agree on this one. with the servers shut down on the game cube it would allow people like me to play on a next gen. console and possibly on the x box server

Yep I would definetly buy a 360 if they made this. I would wet my pants with anticipation.

In fact, it would be even better if they did it on all three consoles and linked them together.
Although that's just my opinion. Diverse community & fun > Voicechat.
Splitting the PSU servers was just idiotic, I feel.

Eh... it wouldn't really make a whole lot of sence to release a compilation like that - since Blue Burst is already Ep I, Ep II, and Ep IV. They'd just make a double-pack with Blue Burst and C.A.R.D Revo.
Personally, I'd rather see them release a really comprehensive collection. PSI - PSO:BB. The entire series - even the GameGear games and Text adventures, as well as the Sega Ages remakes. Add in a bunch of exclusive content for the PSO Episodes on the compilation, open new servers (for those who want to go online).
If it's for the 360, make the game worth 2,000 gamerpoints. 500 for PSO:BB, 500 for Ep III C.A.R.D. and 200 a piece for the originals, w/ 100 for each GameGear title. The text adventures would just be bonus stuffs.
Toss in a ton of extras, like video interviews, histories, pre-release media, mechandice library, ect. Toss in a seperate demo disk of PSU and AoI for good measure.
Sell the whole thing for like $80 bucks.

If only I could figure out how to use the JP sonicteam messageboards. I would start a topic just like this about PSOBB and PSO episode 3 on xbox360. Maybe then sonicteam will actually see it and make it happen.
The PSO series on 360 would be perfect. Hacking would be nonexistant. (as seen in PSU 360). And I'm sure it would be a big hit with the 360 community.

I just wish they'd make PSO2.
I thought that PSU would, basically, be PSO2, but... PSU is PSU. And I just can't get into PSU.
I just want a new PSO with all new boards (and this time lets have 12 full boards of 2-3 areas each, from the MOMENT it launches), brand new spinning red rares, online/offline play that is identical (not the story mode crap from PSU) even if it means separate characters.
I think it would be awesome if PSO2 was a prequel to PSO. We could be peers of Red Ring Rico, based out of Pioneer 1, dealing with the rise of Dark Falz and the mutations of De Rol Le. Think about it, except for parts of Val Da Gal island and the tiny acreage of Forest, we've hardly scratched the surface of Ragol. There's so many places they could send us!
Make all new mag evolutions, and tons of them, plus cells to let us evolve old favorites if we want to.
Finally flesh out the character list: HUnewm, RAnewm, RAnewearl, HUmarl, FOcast, FOcaseal.
Tweak combat by lengthening combo strings from 3 hits to as many as 5 or 6 hits.
Add a way for us to do inter-player combos if we time it just right. Like if we both 'special' at exactly the same time we release extra damage if we're targeting the same monster. Stuff like that.
Basically, hone the little things that were rough in PSO (like collision detection on the borders of the active areas that caused us to come to a stop for seemingly no reason, stuff like that) and add more of what we loved about PSO.
My gawd, if they did that and put it on xbox360 I bet you it would be a major success.
But what you guys are talking about is cool, too. It's just, I'm really all set on PSO I & II & IV now, I'm not into PSU, and I'd rather keep PSI - PSIV as pleasant memories rather than replay them.

I would snap that up. That's what I hoped PSU would be too, but they "revolutionized it"...meh.

You should become Sonic Team's president. This is the most BLINDINGLY OBVIOUS thing they should have done. It would be the greatest achievment of all mankind.
But it's logical, and Sonic Team and logic had a massive falling out when the Dreamcast died.
