I don't mind the intro theme, myself, but I think there should be a new intro for each expansion.
New style, though. Boyband songs are alright in moderation, but don't make them your main theme.

New Ending, sure. That's how it worked in PSO.

I like the vocalist they've got (Kelli Sae), she was in one of my favorite jazz bands I've loved for years (Incognito).

So personally I hope any new songs have that similar jazzy/funk sound Sega seems to pull off so well (Burning Rangers, ohohoho!)

If I recall correctly, it's already been stated in Famitsu that there will be a new song to accompany the new intro to Ambition of Illuminus. Not to say that everything published in that magazine is 100% accurate, but I just wanted to throw that out there.

The song is great, the lyrics are horrible, kind've like Yngwie Malmsteen's music.

Sorry to sound weeaboo, but japan generally has better taste in music, and ST has always appreciated the jazzy/funk sound. Even in PSO music there were alot've jazz chords thrown in the OST. I really learned not to trust anyone's opinion on music because most people in this game's western demographic enjoy emo garbage and trashy rock.

Besides, my opinion is always best because I'm right about basically everything. Shit.

Being a musician myself, it's getting really hard to find music I actually like. Yet, most videogames or japanese pop tend to deliver (Or at least used to).

As for the PSU opening theme, if I'm not mistaken it was a japanese pop band that sang it. In other words, that's what the people over in japan heard.
Ironically enough, though, if they tried retranslating it back into proper English, it would probably sound alot worse than it does already.

Corrected myself, it seems that two of the themes were recorded in Japan, and one of them was in Poland, but it seems that it was only recorded in English. That's what you hear at least for the main theme when you see the Japanese commercials.

The singer was actually from an acid jazz group called Incognito. But as a musician who is atleast on the same page about japanese and videogame music, you have a my respect. :]

I'm a composer of sorts, though I actually have a pretty wide appreciation for differing styles of music.

But then again. Expecting fantastic English lyrics is just not the Sonic Team way (or in many cases. The Sega way). They are all about the cheesy stuff that can sometimes make you smile. That's almost akin to expecting Hip Hop lyrics from Britney Spears. For me, I guess it's the message that counts.

However, since PSO (and every expansion I've heard, save for Blue Burst (didn't play that one), they kept the same exact theme. They might've had a bit of a remix of it, but it remained the same. I can't really see that changing, for the expansion.
