Recently passed the 1000hrs mark and I can say with certainty that at least 900 of those hours are me sitting in front of my computer/PS2, screen up and controller in hand.

Currently I'm on roughly 4 hours a day, but I haven't been using the time very efficiently lately.

I have about 2200 hours on my main character, and about 300 on my secondary. I don't play as much as those numbers would indicate though. I just tend to spend alot of time idling on PSU while I do other things. Even when I go shopping out of town, or to bed, I usually keep my playstation on and PSU running. On average, I'd say I spend 5-9 hours a day playing. Some days it's more, somedays I don't even play at all.

I just looked at my character's playtimes:
Nougami level 42--151 hours
Roar level 31--106 hours
Shop alt level 1--4+ hours

My shop alt is what has me scratching my head. Four hours???! And I just list and sell stuff with her, she almost never leaves her room.

And yeah, as you can see, I can only get to play a few hours here and there. And I almost never leave my characters idling in the lobby or their room, I just log off and log back on if I have to be AFK for awhile. At least my characters have their PMs done.

You cant level your techs in just 4 days being afk, and leveling up techs is hard and takes awhile. Afk is not an excuse, even though he shouldnt even have to explain why he has so many hours.

Then we make the stupid observation of looking at how much time a person has on their account for a game and then say, "Well John doe has spent over 1000 hours playing a game, he has no life." What you don't know about John Doe is that he may just leave his pc running all the time with the game running. John Doe may attend school or go to work and does his so called "socializing" and he comes back home to play the game for just a few hours.

So if someone really wanted to play games all the time, let them. Whats the big problem with that? If someone really wants to work all the time, let them. Thats how they want to live out their life. There is no right or wrong way of doing it. As for the PSU not being any good comment, everyone has their own taste to a game. Some people love it and some hate it and the others are just neutral. I just like PSU due to the real time combat system and I've grown tired of **** mmos where its just point and click and watch your character beat this. I remember in FFXI, I would just go to town and come back and I'm stll fighting.

Now there was one person I've met throughout my mmo/online game era who said he had "no life." He said he lived next door to his parents and all he did was play videos games and chat on the net. He is around 40ish years old. I started only because he made it out as this joke, didn't care, and he said some more things about it to make you laugh even more. Now if you yourself admit to it then fine, but others can't say it for you.

Anyways, you cannot measure a players actual time in game. For example, for me, you cannot measure it. Factor in the following:

1. We leave PSU running most of the time, 7 days a week.
2. Two people play this account and have their own characters, i.e. myself and my gf.
3. Actual time it took to level to 80 is relatively short. In my eyes, this game is so easy when it comes to leveling.
4. BS time. I'm actually here, but I'm not doing anything.

Now I can tell you right now that at most, I play PSU these days for about 3-4 hours. I really don't play all that much and let my gf play mainly. When the next update comes, I would be playing for more than 3-4 hours because umm.......female cast parts are hawt.

So for me, I work, I go to college, I have a social life, I get laid, but I have over 2k+ hours on my account so I have no life right? See, thats why the people who say you have no life never have a really good comeback. You just contradicted yourself if you say I have no life after telling you what I do as it reaches your "specifications" of no life or "go outside."

So ignore the people who say the "no life" comments. Does it really matter to you that much what they say when you yourself know its not true lol? You get this in any game. So techically, if you have more than 300 hours on a character in this game, then you don't have a life. If you are level 60 and higher, you don't have a life. Why even make a level cap on a game then? Lets have everyone stay at level 1. Hell, in FFXI, I had about 428 days on my Elvaan male ninja/drk. A good 300 or so days were spent afk.

Oh and if someone can give me the good ol answer to what the meaning of life is in a essay format, I'll gladly look at it lol.

I spend about maybe 3-4 hours a day at seperate times when im not busy doing other things...So far though I don't have a pic of it, ive spent about 1034 hours with my main char.

You should remember also that alot of the hours people spend on these games is attributed to the social aspect of them, my favourite offline games are significantly shorter in total hours played to my online games.

Playing psu offline is not as attractive to most people I would think since it removes the social interaction and sense of teamwork you get when playing with friends/strangers online.

I can play 2-3 hours some days, 4-5 some other days or even just 1. It really depends on what else I have to do that day, and if I even feel like playing PSU.

I'm pretty sure my total time on my main is in the 400's, I'm not sure the extact amount.
