Luck?..HPC?

So 2 days ago, i started hunting the hard/power charge(HPC)..well im a human male and they had 3luck that day.I hunted for 5 straight hours; no break, no food, none of that..I didnt see one single orgdus nor found any good rare..today i found a rare map in about an hour.the 3 rappies dropped 3 eggs, found a few 10*+ mats(Tormad,Berilad,Citrad) and ofcourse orgdus the HPC..Well today i have 0 luck and that was my very FIRST time seeing an orgdus..Now WTF is luck for bcuz it seems to me it never works..almost everyone i know says they dont find squat with 3 luck..so wat the hell is it for?

Anyway, on days with 3 luck, I have found more meseta and the enemies drop more items than usual, so I guess that luck indeed affect the frequency of them. It's just that it doesn't guarantee that you'll get the specific rare you want. =/

From what I've noticed, rare maps appear LESS often on 3 luck days. Infact.. I think I've only ever found 1 rare spawn on a 3 luck day.

Well, luck is used for grinding and element %s, that's for sure. As far as drop rates go...I have no clue if they have any impact on it.

I was in your boat as well. My first time seeing Orgdus's and I get an h/pc with 0 luck!

It's too bad that the person I gave it to quit...>.>

Luck effects a grand total of two things:

1) Grinding Rates
2) "Drop Anything" Rates

Nothing else. :3

ya, the luck doesnt affect the rate of getting a rare map. if you get a rare map on a 3 luck day you'd prolly have a better chance of getting that rare item

also, you have to keep in mind the nature of "luck" just because you have 3 star luck, enhancing the probability of certain events, doesn't guarantee that they will occur. Maybe the day you had 3 star luck just happened to be an "unlucky" day for you.

I'm a Caseal with 0 luck days for a long period now and I can tell you I can feel the difference between 0 luck days to 1-3 luck days.
Doing LL on S gives me practically NO drops what so ever. But the last time I had 1 or 2 luck on LL, I remember seeing various drops, rares or not.

So all I can conclude is that luck helps in frequency of drops in general, like what others have said before. And the fact that there's more frequency of drops probably helps in finding what you're hunting. Though there's no garantee that it helps in higher star frequency drops.

PSU like PSO has a drop nothing rate. The only thing luck affects is that it decreases the drop nothing rate. It does not make rarer items drop. Also the fact that you get better things on 0 luck days is just chance. I the probability of an item dropping is 1/400 and you are just fighting that enemy for the first time on a 3 luck day there is little chance for that item to drop. But if 3 days later you have fought more around 350+ of that enemy probability says it will more likely drop around then than when you first started fighting that monster.
