A friend of mine gave a nifty little tip for PS2 users, like myself. Turning off the BGM actually causes the game to load people and items much faster, making gameplay for me a much smoother experience for me.
At least for me, I now prefer it without music. Most of it isn't very good anyway and I seem to focus better without it. I love how much faster weapon swapping is now and how much faster it is to load characters at the beginning of a match. How come noone ever told me about this earlier <_<?
