PSU-XBox 360: Help, Xbox live wont confirm me

My credit card was canceled on accident so now im using my parents card until my new one comes but when i put in all the information. I get this message "Can't retrieve information from Xbox Live. Please try again later. Status code: 80153004"

Perhaps you should ask permission before using your parents card?? lol!

No, really, it may be that the payment servers are down? You send the info to them, then they send it to Mastercard or Visa or wherever for approval...sounds like they can't send the info for approval. If there were a problem with the card I would suppose it would return a different error message.

I did ask their permission. And what are the chances that my membership expires and my card is canceled the same time the approval thing is not working. That's pretty stupid..

If i knew what language it was, i'd try to translate it.

sorry to double post but im looking for some help. I did some research and it led me to this thing on xbox live. I ran a connection test and my IMCP failed. I tried restarting my router and modem but that did nothing. Does anyone know how to fix this?
