AR you can buy from a store. The proxy is not a subject that is allowed so I can't tell you where to get that.

To answer your question, yes AR could get your level and items back however saying anything more would be against forum rules and really this is kind of bordering on the edge as is.

After corruption (twice) I have been leveling my chars back to the origional level. I don't see why ppl see the need to cheat to get back to the way they were. Just be patient.

If it is like level 110 or something, leveling back is very easy.

The problem is that some people played 1000 or more hours and lost a lot of weapons that probably took even longer. Corruption affects gameplay just like cheating. Only with corruption you become weaker than stronger, lol.

Corruption sucks, but after 300 hours i am back and better than I was before, and I think that its worth it to regain the levels, because it adds more to the experience, plus you don't have to waste time on stuff that you know is worthless.

But i have to admit that corrupting on your B-day is kinda a kick in the teeth. When bad stuff happens to you it just seems that much worse on your B-day

Two of my friends and my brother all had their memory cards corrupted at least once. One of my friends' didn't get corrupt until several months after it being out in mud and rain and being in a washer/dryer. It was durable and it still works (files being remade).

I lost over 3,000 hours of gameplay, 09. I have had fun levelling them back up tho. Plus friends have helped me out too. I would never ever cheat to regain levels, it just doesn't seem right. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

But using AR is cheating!

I would hardly consider using an AR to get the stuff that you legitly got back to be cheating. It's the same thing as digging deleted files off of your hard drive when it crashes.

This is one of the definition for cheating that pertains to video gaming:
"A computer application, password, or disallowed technique used to advance to a higher skill level in a computer video game."

As long as you return to your original level and weapons, it is not cheating.

On server based games like WoW, PSU, etc, etc all your character profiles and data is backed up on a backed up server for when the time comes that all your data either got hacked or destroyed, they simply get the duplicated data and restore it.

I admired your tenacity to level back up after that crippling corruption Ithildin. I know many that corrupted in PSO and they either quit or turn to cheating which is very sad. I know like 2 or 3 people that actually stayed legit and kept playing after their corruption. I know if I lost everything, I would simply stop playing after playing for so long.

Heh, here is how I've always viewed item modding and how it relates to replacing items lost through corruption. IMHO, I liken it to insurance that you would purchase for a home, car, etc. Let's say something gets stolen from your car (maybe a cd or something just purchased from a store) and someone steals it. If you have insurance, the insurance company will reimburse you for the item so that you may replace it. The same thing applies to the AR. If you know the stats of the item you can create an item identical (in stats, specials, etc.) to the item you lost. Honestly, how many people after losing cds or something stolen would just say, that's ok, I'll just work a bunch of overtime to replace those items?

However, if you know how to do that the temptation to create other items (which you have not found legitimately) is great. You could also fudge the numbers a bit and recreate your item with higher stats or stats in different areas. Analogy-wise that would be like reporting a false claim to your insurance company to be reimbursed for something you never really owned, or inflating the cost/value of the item lost.

Item modding you can do either with an AR or without an AR (it's WAAAAYYYY faster to do without an AR.) You could also Bank mod a version of your lost items, however you don't have control over the stats like you do with item modding. As for using an AR to get your char's level back, I personally wouldn't have a problem with that but I can respect the fact that others will differ in opinion. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

On a side note, I've always found it odd that so many people ask if it's legit to do x and/or y in regards to getting back an item or recreating a high level character that may have been lost. I subscribe to the opinion that as long as you aren't bothering or ruining the game for others, who cares what someone else thinks. If you want to replace an item through alternative means, then go for it, and it might be a good idea to just keep quiet about it. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif

um hmm. but seeing as i dont have a clue to what your talking about with item modding and bank modding, i really cant do that, but i wont ruin pso for myself, after all the legit hours, im not going to creat high stat items, and im not going to make anything more than what i lost

Action Replay, the name for the devices from Datel for several different consoles (allowing one to cheat).

IF your character gets corrupted on your Gamecube, all you have to do is removed the memory card and out it back in.

Its worked for me dozens of times!

Well I still firmly believe using AR for ANYTHING regardless of the purpose is cheating. I appreciate everyone's views on this matter, but you aint gonna change mine. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif
