All I have to say is that it's pretty badass. Until the S-ranks come out, it's pretty much THE laser to use. If you don't have the DC, don't use lasers. The absense of the annoying "pewwww-pewwww" noise makes up for it, alone.

Hey Smallredbox,

I may have to take you up on your offer seeing as though I'm having to keep beating up Adahna Degahna myself for a certain item.

We may have to join forces and split the profits and all. I don't think doing any other rank besides S2 is going to actually be very rewarding. Aside the fact of having little to no luck, things seem to be kinda grim on my end.

So yeah.. We may have to link up and all.

PS: Sides, it'll be a wee bit nicer to talk to someone because Hina Ichigo and Sousei-Seki don't talk back :/

UPDATE:

Finally met someone on the 360 who has the Degahna Cannon.

My faith has been somewhat restored.

According to him, he did 300-ish runs of Grove to find this weapon. I hope I am not asunlucky as he was, but still get the weapon of course.

As a side note, I am severely burnt out on doing S2 lab runs.

To hell with the money, PA frags etc. I can get it elsewhere.

If there is ANYONE out the willing to do Grove of Fanatics runs on S, please message me

Because the Degahna Cannon board drops only on S rank or higher. The synth item drop on any difficulty, or so it says.

Well, did some more Sealab runs to level some of my skills and bullets.

If only Newmans got decent power every level up, Id be using an axe by now.

It looks like people are finally lowering prices on Degahna Cannons. (ie: no 99999999s)
(well.. still a few, but now people seem to be selling it, presumably to get the new S ranks)

I spoke with another Cannon owner today. This person was pretty nice as well. Hopefully I can work out a deal with one of them, but unless I get an S rank weapon, I wouldnt count on it.

I searched the shops two people came up they both only had the part to make the cannon not the actual weapon or the board so i'd say that cannon is pretty damn rare i havent seen anyone ever use it in a level

If you do a search for Adahna in the Search by Ad category, some japanese guy is selling the biomaterial, but for almost 2 mil.

It really pisses me off that people are selling the Deagahna Cannon for millions of meseta. People, it's not that rare. In fact that only reason that it is "rare" is because 95% of the f*cking server is over at Crimson Beast. If you take maybe a third of the population and put them on Neudaiz for Grove of Fanatics or Forest Infiltration, I bet Degahna Cannons would be going up in stock. But that won't happen because Giga Bullet / PP Saves are more important than one of the coolest weapons available right now... I piss on you people.

o sorry let me put it this way when i last was on the 360 around 2 weeks ago there were about 9 or 10. i have or am tied for most as far as i know but was wondering if there were any new ones.i lived at the grove to get mine and i have to say that part is rarer than a 7*auge or tail.i actually got more boards than material wich i never saw drop. but i dislike that ppl don't wanna hunt rares like that but then wanna just buy them at a low cost.on a lot of occasions i hunted in uni 1 and that place was always empty and i got my second one there when rainbow beast was popular.but hey the less there are the higher the value and its the best laser cannon and just fun, sorry for the rant.

I'm not sure about Groves, but I found mine at Forest Infiltration last Sunday when Humans had 3* luck and stuff.

it drops on both places it just does not rain like candy. you get 1 shot at it in either mission so just guantlet it for a while if your lucky it'll drop that day if not it may take up to a month.And i got boards from both missions.

I'm a lvl. 80 Fortegunner (10). It's not the enemies that give me trouble, it's the damn Degahna. It's single rocket shot can kill me in one shot (still) most of the time and I use up so many damn scapedolls. Plus I buy a lot of agtaride in case he debuffs me with his stupid dash move. I also buy a lot of dimates and trimates.

Sometimes when he's not on his period, he'll rarely use his rocket shot, and that's rarely. I might just have to buy Dark Shot and level that up, but that'll take about another week.

Get a high % Dark Muktrand and Dus Daggas. NPC Te-senba is good too.

Does a light-attribute armor protect more against the Degahna's attacks?

They are right about the pikes they are effective if you can use it properly. if you are intent on guns use dark shot and run a distance between shots. The missiles hit twice. but if your gonna solo i suggest you build a fund for soloing only as it can be very costly,and if you can occaisionally drag a good friend along.o don't bother with light armor unless you have a high percentage one.

My friend says he knows a formula of how to get it, and has gotten the board twice this way.....

he says both times he has gotten the board, he killed the boss in under 30 seconds. He says thats the only times he has gotten the board, is when he killed it in under 30 seconds.

He says to have a bunch of casts use the missle SUV and then just attack him as fast as u can after that.

Ran Grove of Fanatics C today, and ran Forest infiltration s2 3 times.

Found some jaggos, but no Cannon or Cannon parts.

OK.

I did this run enough to take my Killer Shot from 3 to 21 before I stopped (in disappointment because he dropped exactly JACK SHIT), and I gotta say that ditching the bullets, getting Dus Daggas, and going to town on his rear is THE WAY to kill him.

With Daggas, I was able to (without a CHANCE of being hurt mind you!) deal 1600 damage PER USE of the PA. It takes me 3 22% Dark 8-9* spears to kill him, and I'll usually empty out a spear as he spins around before he decided to teleport away and make me run around and get behind him again.

I consider Adhana the least challenging part of the run - usually I'll read a book or something as he whirls around and around and around, and I stab him again and again and again...

My only problem is that sometimes I forget to re-equip my light armor before hitting the warp, and he nails me hard with one shot before I can get behind him.

I do this in Grove of Fanatics, though, because it has more robots to kill and the newmans are minor annoyances when you have Light crossbows. The only area that gives me an ulcer is when the bots spawn in just a room - not one of the open rooms with a balcony or whatever, but a closed-off room because they can shoot fire through the walls, meaning you've gotta wade in there and take it like a man as you killer shot them to death. I keep confuse traps handy for just such an occasion.
