I think all of us know that the RP scene hasn't been the bustling business that we'd all hoped it could be. What it comes down to, is that there aren't enough RPers and those who do RP don't always know eachother. This is something that can be fixed, however.

RP communities grow when they are large and active. They've got to start somewhere, though. The first step is to unify the community. The initial group must know eachother and interact. It helps to have some storylines going on among us, but that can come in time. The first thing to do, is to bring our characters together, and get them introduced to eachother. Establish relationships.

For this reason, I'd like to schedule an in-character gathering of RPers online. This is tricky though, because strangers don't come together without purpose, and most of our characters, are in fact, strangers.

So to facilitate the planning of the gathering, I'd like to get an idea as to what's going on in your characters' lives, right now. What have you been doing in your RP sessions?


Personally, my sessions have been few and fairly spontaneous; they've mostly revolved around my Newearl, Meira, being in public with a homicidal (if mutedly so) Cast named Dragoon.

So how about everyone else?

I'm interested in a bit of RPing, most likely with my goofy cast Kyrius Tyn (pronounced "curious tin"). Only thing is this week I'm rather busy with real life stuff. o.o Think we could schedule some regular time to pop in maybe 1-3 times a week, possibly more?

Whenever I'm around, I'm always supporting the RP of my characters. Even in more tired sessions, I'm still doing stuff according to my character. So I guess I consider myself an active participant, ready to do it, whenever I'm on. The extent of how much I stick strictly with RPing is based on my company. The more they concentrate on RP, the more I support it with my own. The less, the more casual I take my standard talk, but my typed texts remain the same. Most often mine are in character, but may reflect how they may answer random thoughts tossed out by others.

I guess, for me, something kind of clicks when I play the character, and my general demeanor shifts to match. People could tell if I'm playing one character or the other, even just by how I throw a sentence, or expression, at them if they didn't even see a name with it.

Organizing is only a bit hard, because this game does have a more casual nature. People will play when they can, and when it's the best time for them. I, on the other hand, shifted my focus to be *ready* whenever I sign on, so that I remain a mostly consistant presence when you see me. I do, on the other hand, tend to say less when I'm playing and really too tired to do anything other than my best in combat. (Or even worse, I go and solo, because I'm too tired for organized party play and know I'm about to crash soon.)

I guess I make RP characters because I can't really envision it any other way. If you're given the provision to actually make your own characters, in a game, and decide upon their nature. I want to take as much advantage of that freedom as possible, but I also want to have true direction (given all those choices I have). It serves the purpose of setting your goals early and keeps things interesting for you. You see what you want, and know what you have to do to acquire it. Best of all, you're contributing to the story, adding depth and color to it in the way you want. The best stories speak to you personally, and throwing in your input does wonders for helping the existing story do just that.

I pasively RP in uni 17 often, by pasively I mean acting strictly in character but not building any storyline of sorts, and so far I have only one really active

Jamini, (Beast, female, lv49, Wt5, FT1, currently Wt but sometimes I go FT to level techs) who started as a poor girl from a tiny town in Moatoob with the dream of becoming a healer (wich was how her character was when I started playing 5 months ago) to becoming a quite greedy and aggresive guardian, she slowly abandoned her innocent ways and figured out she could make use of her status as a guardian to earn a little profit, and while she still loves helping out others, particularly the weaker ones, she has taken a liking to accepting protecting missions, often escorting others to earn her newfound classy lifestyle, if she has a customer, she will keep her/him alive no matter what. Snobby towards stronger persons but kind towards the weak and innocent, and alltogether, a lover of the good and classy life, such is the current Jamini :3


I have yet to write down her full profile, it might just not be very PG13 <.<

Like Kuro, i'm more passive RP, in that i don't really build a story but just play my chars the way they're supposed to behave. Actually, all my chars are based on NPCs i built up for my D&D campaign.
I'm quite likely to quit RP with most of my chars to get into interesting chatting i see in game, except for Rust who is just Rust 24/24 hours.
As for his lil' background, he was once a very pragmatic and cynical CAST, totally cold and led by true logic, but somehow, he started to get crazy and totally broken (in about the time he became Force then Guntecher, when we totally lost it). Rust follows the instruction of a mysterious entity called The Computer, related to none of the present societies that can be found in the Gurhal System. As for know, Rust is involved in dumb things like being forbidden to use SUV (could be used as a part of a rebellion against the Computer) and hunting other SUV users (if PvP was implemented, he would already have killed some people during missions... <.<) ; well, quite all the SEED-infected lifeforms are actually identified as SUV users by its systems. It is also in its way to reproduce the "pervert" behaviour, spreading ads for porn without any reason.
Claudia, Kendal and Kaori are somewhat related to him (i actually play this relationship RP, like them talking to each other of things they did, and people met by one of them isn't necessarily known by the others, which confuse most of the time the newcomers in my partner list), but i'm too lazy to write something about them here right now. Assume that i will if you want me to only (send a MP or something like that).

Anyway, i would be glad to meet any RPer on PC/PS2, just post here or send me a PM to let me know when, who and how to meet up. Take in count that i live in France, so try to avoid the dumb hours like 10pm EAST and likewise, i'm may be in bed at 4am (GMT+1) most of the time. <.<;

My RP list on my guild cards is huge (RPers are always priority number one on my list) but so few are on anymore. My RP character is a newman named Jessica Rosetti aka "Emrald???" or Emmy. Basically her story contridicts sega so I save that part for more close rp partners. So generally she is a skilled hacker and fortetecher and was oprhaned at birth. A few months ago she was adopted by a CAST named Atlasla (BU-33S) who is an EX amf commander. Theres more to her but i don't feel like posting it. I've tried countless times to get the RP scene booming both on this site and on the psu Offcial forums. My attempts on the offcial forms have been slightly more sucessful. I am on Eastern time (-5 GMT)

Well, I suppose, I'm going to take my fave on this one again.

I have, in fact, envolved a huge storyline around my favourite character called Darkmind. But I think I'm going to make it different this time. Despite the fact that his story goes around PSO and not PSU, I'm going to involve him as a guy without past and name that has got an amnesia. That'll make it easier to combine the storylines.

Sister of the powerful Lv80 Fortetecher Otoko, a cute little girl, but also a vicious magic user. She won't hesitate to put a Diga ball in your ear. Specialized in ice and ground spells, and "buffs."

It is difficult and irritating sometimes to roleplay as my female characters because, being a guy, you know...you have to set a line when you tell people "look I'm roleplaying," and I hate when other guys come up and act like they fell in love with me that's just DISTURBING.

A very social person who loves to talk and be around people. Small in body but big in heart, she's the love-or-hate personality. Talks loudly when excited and doesn't show fear at any time. No one's really asked her about her past, and no one really knows much about her. They've never seen any parents or siblings, so they guess her an orphan. Leonah is usually happy-go-lucky, but can burn a hole in your ass with a devastating fireball if messed with, or someone messes with HER friends. She's strongest in electricity, but her favorite thing to do is freeze an enemy. Her laugh is a femenine version of a Lily's.

I just don't look for RPers. I prefer telling pops I like to RP, and wait for the proposal. x) (no luck so far >_>)

Anyway, I now post a lil' something to help peoples figuring out how they could possibly meet and interact with my chars :

C-YA : A weird Cast, almost freaky, but (try to be) very friendly anyway.
She ask for (or propose to) help to strangers very often, but it is not necessary a good thing to accept... Especialy if you value your identity, or even your whole life, a lot.
She seems to be obsessed with evolution.

Kelvie : A kinda cold human, who study fashion as much as she study technics and technology.
When it comes to battle, she act more like a beast than a human, so, peoples who meet her on the battlefield could never imagine her being so much of a scientist.
That contradictionnal barbarian scientist loves to hunt large monsters, and sometimes pretend to do it for very important researchs when her comrades are too scared to face the big one. In fact, she just do it like others would ride roller coasters : because she freaking loves how it feels !

Come on pops, rp with meh !

Dunno if I've mentioned it before, but trying to find folk on the 360 version who a) have a keyboard, and b) actually like RP'ing, is like trying to tell the Holy Mother to stop appearing to Catholic school girls. It just isn't happening for me.

i'd love to RP since for me its easy since i modled my Main after my self, but one thing kinda prevents me from RPing... WHERE THE HELL ARE THE RP'ERS!!! On PSU I go to uni 17 only to see its completely void of all life. And when i do see people in uni 17i dont wanna just go up to random people and say "hey guys hows it goin!" that and i'm pretty quiet and keep to my self IRL and in online games so i just group with random people. WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE!!!
