PSO GC: How many chatters are using a keyboard?

I see an awful lot of chatting going on when I log on to PSO Online (GC). Are most of you using keyboards or are a lot of you typing out your messages one button press at a time?

Please feel free to post tips on how to chat more efficiently, or other comments. I'm new so forgive me if this topic is covered ad nauseum.

I got lucky and scored one second hand for 75 bucks. Thing was Mint. Keys are small though so I am still hoping for a USB adapter or something like that for the US players.
