I am buying this game in the matter of weeks. I was wondering how the online fees work for Xbox360. Do you need to pay for Xbox Live AND online fees for PSU? Or is it run like FFXI for 360 in that you run through another program? I would hate to have to pay $16 a month to play PSU...(although its worth it!)

wait, why would you want to get it with the Gold account? I guess I don't understand why only using the silver account is so bad...

I beleive to play the open Beta on the 360 in order to get the statues you must have a Gold Account.

A Silver Account only allows you to access Xbox LIVE--i.e. the Marketplace and Leaderboards, and receiving updates via online connection. To play games over the LIVE Network, you need a Gold Account. Period.

So yes, you will be paying for both. $10/month for your Guardian's License, and whatever you're paying for your Gold Subscription now.

You can play Phantasy Star Universe (as well as Final Fantasy XI) online with only a Silver account. Gold accounts are only required for multiplayer in games without a separate fee (e.g. Halo, Gears of War, et al.).

haha which one is telling the truth?!?!?!

I think it's ok to play with just silver. If not I'd rather continue playing WoW.

Then something's wrong with my account, because when my Gold Membership expired I was unable to get on PSU. That's where I get that claim from. I'm willing to say I'm wrong, but I'm simply explaining what I'm going off of here.
