my 3 reasons for playing this game and enjoying it for so long are:

1: i cant forget the friends that i play with and having fond memories playing with them.

2: hunting rare is mostly addictive and it gives me a purpose to stay longer.

3: changing customs and the sense of some fashion for my characters.

1. More spells (and you can solo as a Force...in PSO, Forces were pretty weak...Grants was such a letdown)
2. Action palette (PSO had a way to switch weapons/use items without going to the items section, but the palette is way faster/better)

1: Only game I can think of that lets you look good while kicking ass. I mean come on, I have a zora knight with sad eyes. A zora knight with sad eyes equipped with a friggen' badass ice lance and light elemental claws. There's no way I could make anything close to that in any other game.

2: It's a fun ORPG. That's normally an oximoron. Unfortunately, the unbalanced reward system makes it so that you still have to grind the same area for whatever you need, but that grinding is alot more fun than the most fun thing to do in other MMOs.

3: It's a Sega game. Sega's games always have a unique atmosphere to it not seen anywhere else. Unfortunately, they haven't been able to do this as well as they used to, but at least there's still the hint of what made the old games great.
Also, it's ****ing Phantasy Star.

2. Leveling system - I totally like how you have to put work into your PAs. Not like PSO where you can find the high level disk and you know it at that level instantly. I mean, it wasn't hard to find the level 26 technic disks...and honestly, you couldn't tell the difference between that and level 30. 2. The cool exclusive Weapon action from such a genre, and the idea of having *assistant* machines with you.
