ok i have a theory about all games in general (watch out this myt b anuthr 1 of ma huge 1ns) all hardcore gamers (i mean ones who like all genres not jst shoot em ups the open minded gamers) are searching for a perfect game (acshully it kinda functions like a religion lol) a 10 outta 10 divine game for me a game that mixes zelda pso and X3 reunion (wre u can land on planets) where u can do anything u want but still under the basic game rules so many people are endlessly searching for this "Perfect Game" however 1 if the perfect game was created the search would end and people would play it get addicted then leave it and since the search was over (and they wudnt need 2 play loads of games to find it) they wud probly leave games altogether it just wudnt be the same fun playing games that u kno arent as good as the "Perfect Game" 2 its also kind of a marketing scheme ppl r searching for the game they buy a game its good they get addicted bt it aint da "Perfect Game" so they buy another 1 u see da pattern and all the time th game company is making more an more money 3 before i said if th "Perfect Game" was discovered ppl wud gt addicted then gt bored if it was the "Perfect Game" ud never get bored 4 Second Life (attempted "Perfect Game") with pretty much no boundaries it got boring so i ( by i I mean me alone) have come to the conclusion that the "Perfect Game" will never should never and cannot ever be Created so my point is DONT TRY by adding things and hacking and stuf AR is ok but still be content DEBATE IT !!!!!

You know, complaining about the lack of effort by game dev's, and then showing your own lack of effort in simple punctuation, grammar and the use of paragraphs; self-defeating. Slow down and do it right next time, otherwise any arguement or point you're trying to make is lost as people merely dismiss you and close the window.

Overall, there are games that are 'hybrids' for a reason, and they can be much more enjoyable than your run of the mill 'genre' games. Take alittle from column A through Z, and if you put them together properly to form a cohesive game, you get a winning title. But remember, you can't please everybody. There will always be purists who feel they did'nt get enough from one column, or feel it wasn't done to their specific liking.

Very few games are made for niche gamers, because there isn't much money to be made if you only garner to one small part of the gaming community; it's a spectrum balance. Can't go too far one way, and you can't go too far in the other; it's all about isolating the sweet-spot. Though personally I like indie developed games, just because they don't have deadlines and publishers breathing down the Devs' necks.

Meh, perfect society, games, anything will never exist. We can just as easily develop more durable materials to build highways and buildings out of, but that would put all the construction, builders, engineers, etc out of jobs. Simply put, team D-F have jobs because team A-C fucked up, and they have to fix it for G-Z

I don't play games because I'm looking for the perfect one - I'm just looking for a bit of fun, and occasionally an escape. Anyway, people have different tastes, so it's virtually impossible to make anything 'perfect'.

Lets get oen thing straight, Mr. Creator of this Thread, there's no such thing as perfect. Why? Perfect is flawless, everyone would have to like something for it be perfect: This "perfect game", although it gets great reveiws, has a large base of loyal fans, and almost everyone loves this game... There's going to be atleast one person(probably more) that still don't like it for whatever random reason. If there is even one flaw, or one person who doesn't like it than the game isn't "perfect"(atleast in the correct sense of the word.)
