so basically i dont want to play on the 360 servers anymore. i was wondering a couple things actually. if i jump on the pc/ps2 servers will i be able to switch between the 2 at some pont, and still be able to keep my character? the reason i ask is i have no clue if my graphic card is good enough on me pc (VIA/S3G Unichrome IGP). but i would play on the ps2 until i could get a half way decent graphics card. that and are the pc/ps2 servers a little less dramatic then the 360 servers?

You can play your characters on any PC and PS2. The game can't tell the difference.

You can't keep your characters from 360, but I'm not sure if you're asking this.

I don't know about either communities drama, really. I only play with my group of friends.

I think your going to run into the same riff-raff on either server. Idiots are everywhere unfortunately... And yes, I think you can play your character on either a PS2 or PC. Don't quote me on that though. Better off asking someone that isn't a 360 player. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

You CAN use your character on either one. One a friend that plays on PC let me use his account, and I play on a Ps2

although, i hear the 360 servers are probably the better ones to be on, what with huge meseta inflation due to money hacking....but i can't speak for certain.

Welcome, You can meet new people and friends by just doing runs with randoms. Maybe keep an eye out for PSOWorlders. Though a lot are egotistical lol, some are very friendly if you catch them at the right time.

The think about the photons selling for 10k... they are more likely to sell at 5k or 1k. This is actually good for lower level characters; since you will find lots of photons on C ranks you can make a good amount of money right away to buy good starter equipment. But of course, yif you are looking to buy Photons it is a pain.

My advice: don't ever buy photons ( huint your own ), only sell them

I don't think you'll be running much of anything with that--that appears to be an integrated video card and likely falls well below the minimum requirement for PSU.

Maybe. I wouldn't really know. There are quite a few less people there, so I imagine that would be the case, I suppose.

In any case, both PC and PS2 clients use Playsega.com for sign-in info, so yes, you can switch between the two because they use the same account.

I'm not sure if you'd find less drama here over all. I mean, the internet as a whole is some pretty serious buisiness. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

EDIT: And yes, you can switch your characters between the PC ver and the PS2 ver. I did it plenty of times. XD

lolrudeassholelol

gir communities suck on every game and every server friendships are made and destroyed so often on every game. I'm not even going to try to understand why you want to switch. I'll admit some 360 people are assholes but at the same time I'm 100% sure there are assholes on the PS2/PC servers as well.

Let me give you an example back when I played World of Warcraft (yeah yeah i know it sucks but whatever) I got 3 level 60's on the alliance side was in a good guild ect. Drama broke out and the guild broke up. I decided to delete and start over on horde. Well... same damn thing over there

Ok so it may not be the same thing, but I think switching would just yield more frustration. In the end its up to you, I'm sure ps2 would be glad to have you, but don't expect things to be great right off the bat. Maybe they will help you level up fast ect. get back to where you were at... But at the same time they have their own stuff to do they might just shrug you off and you will have to get back there yourself. Now if this doesn't bother you and you plan to leave 360, I wish you the best on the ps2/pc servers I hope you have a better experience there than you did here.

I thought the community on the 360 has better potential to run into good groups, no?
Voice chat helps (I actually love voice chat over text). And a larger, global community helps. Right now, on the pc/ps2, there's just not a whole lot of ppl around. Weekdays 3/4 stars in universe 2. And the mojority of them are at CB.
>.<

But yea, you do run into familiar faces cause of the smaller community. And annoying ppl are bound to be found on either servers. I just think that majority of ppl come off that way cause nearly everyone's playing as their alt classes, and not playing to their full potential.
*shrug*

Protip: Universe 1, in front of the Linear Line is the TNT of PSU: "We Know Drama."

I only ever go there when someone has started some drama for epic lulz.

Really, if you're trying to avoid drama, you shouldn't go someplace that bathes in it. Much like how people don't drive in NYC to relieve stress.

Apr 26, 2007, 02:35 PM
So...you broke up with FATALITY? I really don't see that as a good reason to leave. >_>

I mean, at the time of this post, you're idling in Universe 1. Drama will always be there if you go looking for it.

I don't know what you're like, because I've never been able to play with you, even after I got your card (usually when I'm on you're AFK in your room), so I can't really comment on whether you're looking for it or not, but seriously, Universe 1. Come on.

Good luck either way.

Yeah, having issues because of one person is something you're going to find everywhere. That's the internet for ya, though quite a few people know ways of dealing with it. There are plenty of people to support people on either of these servers, if you know who to look for. I know nothing of the situation, nor have met you in-game. So take it as you will. Various issues do happen, when dealing with people on the internet or in anything where people are brought together. From experience, that's what I had to deal with.

Still, if the path you want to take is one where decide to leave, then good luck to you. Hopefully you luck out and just happen to not run into that situation again.

If you switch over, I'll do what I can to help while I'm still around. I pretty much quit playing though, and am still debating on weither or not to go 360. I have no idea why you'd want to switch to the PC/PS2 version though... the community is very small, and most of the decent games are locked. Most of the games period are locked because everyone has their own little niches and could care less about playing with the "unwashed masses". You'll likely need to join a party through an outside source (such as these forums) if you want a good static group.

A word of advice... if you do switch, do whatever it takes to get your PC up to snuff. Do NOT play PSU on the PS2. Weapon load times are horrendous (it might take up to 40 seconds to cycle through your entire inventory of weapons to get them loaded each time you zone to a new area, and that's if you don't have them unloaded from memory by other people constantly switching weapons and a lot of onscreen action). The resolution is poor, as is the color pallet and texture detail. It chugs at a steady 25fps optimally, and (like the 360 version) is prone to severe framerate drops. Ect... ect...

Get a decent graphics card, and get a 360 wireless controller reciever for your PC.

You know, even though I don't really know you guys or play on the 360, after seeing that thread about the PSU Porn recruiting, I was going to suggest that she get omegapirate to haze the asshole. Recorded too. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

Well, you have lots of options at your disposal. Make full use of them:

Xbox Live:
- Mute
- Block Communication (XBL Messages, Friend Requests, et al.)
- Submit (Negative) Player Review [may lower his reputation]
- File Complaint (Is there a harassment option? I forget) [may get him banned]
In-Game:
- Blacklist, blacklist, blacklist. This will hide your in-game online status (though he can still view your gamercard from your partner card), prevent him from joining games with you and sending simple mails to you, and keep him out of your room as well. Also, it blocks whatever comes out of his chat bubbles.

Life is Drama, and vice versa...

If you want to end the Drama, you know what you must do.

Quit playing the game.

I.E. make all of your characters... commit suicide.

No characters, no reason to play.

Therefore, No Life, No Drama, No Problem.

(Or, just ignore him, that works too)

Well, submitting a negative player review might shave a tiny bit off of his reputation. The "File Complaint" option is the much more important, one, though. If the fellow is actually harassing you I do believe he's committing a terms of service violation and could be banned as a result.
