Boss damage

If your fighting a boss and you die and come back to fight him in the same mission does he keep the same as damage as you left him ?

dont think so.

usually if everyone dies on the boss, they just abandon and say 'fuxx it hes too hard'

because i'm getting my face rocked on s2 forest infiltration boss over and over. I'm on universe 4 if anyones around :[ 360
