Now that we have learned, that the Xbox 360 version of the expansion is only going to be downloadable, I.E. now, you have to pay for an Xbox Live Gold Account, and pay the monthly fee. Who is going to be switching to the PS2/PC version?

Given that this poll was initially created with false information, this topic is closed to prevent any further backlash.

I read in another thread that you don't need the Gold Account.

And I'm still gonna be dual platform as soon as I get the cash for an Xbox360. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Erm...why would you need Gold? You can do everything except play non MMO (or MMO look-alikes in PSU's case) with Silver.

I don't really understand...

I don't think you need gold. Besides...1 month is only 10 bucks! Some Xbox live games are really fun.

I plan on getting the PC Version anyhow.

Where does that say "Download Full Games"?

Where does it say "Restricted Marketplace downloads"?

Users with Silver accounts were able to download the The Shivering Isles expansion for Oblivion with silver accounts, so I don't see why you wouldn't be able to with the expansion for PSU. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_rolleyes.gif

The key points here are 1) Access to the marketplace, and 2) Access to MMOs.

You can stop trolling any time you want.

This is my thread, if you don't like my opinion, GTFO.

So this is an opinion, not fact?

Beautiful, thank you for proving our points.

Ok, that's just rude.

This isn't a matter of opinion, we're talking about facts here. I don't have a 360 so I don't really know the deal with Live, but whichever claim is true, it's a fact, not an opinion. It seems to me if the Oblivion expansion wasn't considered a full game, this shouldn't be considered that either.

EDIT: Beat me to it, Sychosis. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

My opinion, is that microsoft doesn't deserve our money for a gold account, the fact, is that this is their scheme to get more people to buy gold accounts.

Have fun wasting money I suppose. I know 4 people with Silver, and after a quick confirmation, they were ALL able to download the Shivering Isles expansion. If you can download that, you can get AoI.

By "Exclusive downloads" I think they mean things like the Halo 3 Beta, and the PSU Demo.

Akira_R

But we still haven't resolved whether you really need a Gold Account for AoI yet. Is it considered a full game, or will it be availible like the Oblivion expansion was?
