I always wanted to see the blue swirl.

That system did a lot for modern gaming. We have online consoles, voice chat (AFO was the first console game with voice chat), MORPG for consoles (PSO) and it had some crazy fun games like Chu Chu Rocket and JET SET RADIO!!! I was one of the best players in the world back when they had the ladder. XD

Man, that system was great, too bad the average gamer didn't see that and purchased PS2 instead. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

Sega has a great deal of Firsts in the industry. First CD-based console. First 16-bit console. First 32-bit console. First 128-bit console. First Online Console RPG. First internet-capable console (which was actually the Genesis, by way of an obscure add-on; soon followed by the Saturn). First console shipped with online capabilities. First successfull 3D game franchise (Virtua series). First console RPG in the North American market (Phantasy Star, no less). First holographic arcade game (Holofighter!). Probably quite a few more.

Sega has some great minds on their payroll.

PC-Engine was released before Megadrive, and also had a CD expansion released before MegaCD

So where the fuck are they all at now?

They were all fired for thinking too good.

Maybe they thunk too much, and ran out of ideas.

Or they got lazy.

I'm thinking that many of them tend to be in executive positions now, instead of creative positions. Irony.

They all had to run off to create their own development studios to run away from Sammy and constant Sonic with guns games?
