Rogues Shortcut (still have really no idea what this mission is) and Onmagoug Party S2 mission (Eastern Peril?)

I hope the Onmagoug one is atleast 12k http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

Which means everyone will stay in Crimson Beast even though these missions are much shorter. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif

rogues shortcut is in the galginere(sp?) basin

it's the moatoob equivalent of eastern peril - quick route to fight dimmagalous, but requires 4 people for an S rank

The Galenigare Basin is the lobby between Valley of Carnage and Mine Defense. Rogue's Shortcut is in the Galenigare Tunnel: Underground Lake, which is the lobby after Mine Defense.

You can also get to the Galenigare Tunnel through System Defense, then Desert Terror.

I'm on 360 so can't check till its up, though I've heard Eastern Peril S2 only gives 11k and drops the Har / Quick, and that Rogues Shortcut gives 13k (Dunno if it drops any new units.)

So any PC people that already finished with maintenance think they could share? And if you know any / all specific boss drops now there to post too if you could http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

All i can say is grab your sori-senba and ready your reverser, because most of your time spent there will be in the form of a popsicle.

I actually had more problems with Onmagoug. He's quite nasty at level 90.

Heh heh. Depending on your level, he's nasty at a B-grade mission. He was definitely one of the first bosses that joined the ranks of most deadly compared to the level requirement to see him.

Nowadays, Desert Terror easily joins the ranks, but is close. It's all about how much damage they do in 1 single hit.

2 hit KO on a 71 fortefighter FTL. Even though i spent most of my time frozen on that level this morning, the damage it was actually doing wasn't so bad.

When we stepped into block 3, we might as well have just pulled down our pants and bent over; results wouldn't have differed.

I guess you didn't mean, in that "Braveheart scene" kind of way. Hmm. So what made block 3 so mean?

Actually I ran that map this morning. From what I can tell (of course I could be wrong it was late)
Onma is actually FASTER and hits MUCH harder than I recall.

Ahh, that's right. Forgot that was a 2-block only map before the boss. Still, I bet people (looking for the easy way) are hoping to see some S2 mission map that ends with the lightning dragon. *snicker*

Ran through Rogues shortcut three times today with a party of rangers. It's not so bad. The Dimmagolus has a stronger swipe than the Onmagoug, but he doesn't have that blasted lighting. The tornadoes aren't too bad as long as you are only getting hit by one of them. Of the three times I ran through I only lost one scape doll and that was because I was standing in the middle of the screen when Dimmagolus did the fly over (one hit KO for newman FT. Lesson learned: stay out of the middle of the field.)

Akaimizu
Apr 27, 2007, 01:17 PM
Yeah. I've avoided that middle of the field for quite some time. Oddly enough, I've had the best of luck when I stay as close to being under the guy as possible. This avoids the evil flaming rocks of doom and most of his faster attacks. The bad is, you have to almost anticipate when he's going to attempt to trap you. Everything else has enough startup time to disengage, get your bearings and dodge out of the way. That is, since staying there will keep you out of his flight path. I don't know yet, if his swipe is that much worse. Normally, I don't worry as much about it because his swipe seems to be survivable when everything else isn't.

So far, I do what I can to dodge it, but outside of this new version (which I haven't been on to play yet), I don't fear it as much as everything else.

Yeah, the swipe and fly over are stronger on the Dimm. The Onma has stronger lighting and fireballs. Makes sense that the magical attacks are stronger on Onma while the physical ones are stonger on Dimm. But the Dimm stuns you and does the Tornadoes while you are still stunned. The Onma does the stun, but you are released before the lighting starts coming down. Not that it matters much since most of the time when you start running, you'll run right into the lighting.

I've been pretty good at running and avoiding the lightning, oddly enough. I don't run like a crazed chicken, though. Normally I try to see the tell-tale lightning hit zones and make sure I'm not in them.

This from the person who had trouble getting behind the Adahna Degahna. j/k

Yeah, you can see the purple spots pop up, but when you are in first person and aren't quick enough to switch out. That spells trouble.

sounds like this one might become a pretty popular map anyways

Forest Infiltration has the robots. Eastern Peril is robot free. Both missions are worm free.

Does this mean that the Blackbull board also drops on Rogue's Shortcut S2?
