PC/PS2 Server Population

Long story short, I quit PSU because of the lack of expansion even though it was kinda early on when I quit. I did go over to WoW, and that got boring as far as end game content goes. So I've considered coming back, but from what I've heard, the population for the PC/Ps2 servers isn't nearly as high as it used to be. Read somewhere that the usual is three stars on only one server at peak hours. I recall two full servers and about a half full server for tops back when I played.

Is it worth coming back to?

There's usually 4 stars on Universe 2 during peak hours. There are a lot of smaller groups spread out across other servers though, just not enough for a full star. 1 star = 200 people.

The overall population may be kinda small, but there are plenty of people here at PSOW to play with.
Most of those 4 stars ain't the people you wanna play with. XD

Oh, I know that I didn't play with everyone on WoW. As in every game, there's a group of players that I'll learn I don't want to associate with.

Just having major second thoughts because of the reasons I quit in the first place. Even the RP groups and friends I associated with weren't online very often and it seemed very rough to get us all together. You notice the grind more, or at least I do, than I did in PSO. Who knows why.

Well, there's this mission called Crimson Beast that alot of people are at so I guess you see alot of grinding http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_frown.gif . Though it might change in the update this week hopefully people will scatter to look for S-rank weapons.

And Right now Is a low point in the population ( Been a while since a good update ) but with the S rank Weps realeasing soon, The Firebreak Event, Summer coming up and the AoI expansion by fall, things will get back up to how things were in December ( By AoI I mean, but things will gradually get better http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wink.gif )

Grinding happened back when I was around too, I quit before this Crimson Beast mission I keep hearing about. People were doing the mission in the Neudaiz Relics, I forget the name. Golden relics, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about.

The small population certainly isn't making me happy. Not having many options in what missions I can run pisses me off. If this is a "neighborhood", I need to move to a bigger area.

I feel naked without an MMO to pour some freetime into since I have it on my hands again. WoW didn't work, FFXI didn't work, Tibia/Runescape/BYOND/etc didn't work. So I'm considering PSU, since I played PSO for the longest time. But apples and oranges in my opinion.

I quit this game, and I'm never coming back. I almost played it on Saturday, but I couldn't find the DVD to re-install, then the urge passed and I went played some Gunstar Heroes on the Virtual Console.

I been sitting here for like 30 minutes writing and re-writing a little essay about how bad this game is and why the OP should not waste his time with it ever again, but fuck it, it's not worth any more of my time or consideration, so let me break it down. The grind is boring, the synthing and weapon grinding is just plain retarded, you work your ass off to get some decent weapons, then some fuckhead walks into your game showing off his six Crea Doubles, one for each element, then there's this dumbass Episode 5 expansion coming out and they don't even have all the original stuff 'released' yet.

Screw this, I'm gonna go play Gunstar.
