"Awesome" is that which inspires Awe. Awesome is that which forces a person to stop and react with a paralyzing gape. In the presence of true Awesomeness, you are unable to do anything but stop and watch in wonder at it. Awesomeness can inspire joy or fear, possibly even at the same time. Necessarily, Awesomeness does not inspire feelings of, "wtf", but others experiencing "wtf" may cause Awesome under extreme circumstances, where one has previously encountered the root cause of "wtf" and is now seeing the reaction of others.

To know "Awesome" is to bear witness to the ultimate. The most extreme. To have been previously aware of it, or the possibility of it, and then see it engage or occur. That is awesome.
