I know that (Viacom) MTV's trying to make a nice buck with a gay network, but they've gone too far.
They censored Margaret Cho. I can understand censoring out the word "fuck." Maybe even "fag." But not "shit." No, not shit, "bitch", or the family friendly "dick".
Southpark, aired on Viacom's own Comedy Central, gets away with more. And, hell, it's sometimes included in basic cable. LOGO is practically in a parallel universe. I get LOGO in the 200's. Comedy Central is in the 30-60 range from what I've seen.
LOGO censoring out the word "dick" is tantamount to book burning. Not only book burning, but the evisceration of an entire culture.
"Hey, did you catch that Margaret Cho show re-aired on LOGO?"
"No, but I did get to see the burning of the Library of Alexandria."
"No shit."
Not only are all of the gay people on MTV shallow sluts or crazy bitches (like, omg, we're on that stupid reality dating show. DEPRAVED SEXUAL ENCOUNTERS INSUE), but Darth Cho can't catch a break on their gay themed network.
Fuck you MTV. First you made me think that you didn't run VH1, and that I was cooler for watching it instead of MTV. Now this.
Only Pimp My Ride gives me solace.
