Where best place for PSO Newbie?

Just got the Broadband adapter today and signed up for online play. I was wondering where/what would be a good thing to do. Looking to get to know people in PSO and maybe get some tips and even perhaps a few low level items that could help me out.

Any willing to help me out and show me around? Trying to decide what type of charecter to be and it is HARD! I am edging away from hunter though... I have been doing fairly poorly with any melee. I like the forces but I have an idea that they are very weak to start off and have heard they have a lot of trouble in Ultimate.

So perhaps a Ranger for my first charecter?

I've found that the Rangers can be a little hard to begin with. However, everyone has their own playing style. You'll figure out what works for you after you play a while. I played offline for a while until I found what class I liked best.

For me, Hunters and Forces are the best. Of course, I may be a little biased. I still haven't spent the requisite time to master the subtle art of blowing crap up with lethally charged photon blasts. http://www.pso-world.com/psoworld/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I'd be more than willing to just help you out, i'll give you my rares i don't use anymore and you can game with my friends and I anytime you wish. All members of this site tend to meet up at antares 8 however morning usually noones on but on fridays there's usally about 50-70 people on our home block Antares 8. on weekdays it's a little weak because we have schoolin, and people have jobs and such but feel free to join us! Just be kind,and nic and you'll get by easily and most liekly make a lot of great friends through this game =D
