[6/2] - It would seem my time conversions were wrong, and no one told me (until Traize did http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif) so I apologize to my EU brothers and sisters that I messed up for x_x

[5/27] - Moatoob has been chosen as the meeting place for the June 2nd meet!

[5/19] - Since it has been confirmed that Operation Firebreak will last 5 weeks, it has been decided that we will wait until one week prior to each meet up, before we plan where each meet up will be held so we can check out the current purification levels.

As you all know, Operation: Firebreak is just around the corner. It's also been entirely too long since we've had a good ol' fashioned 360 PSOW get together. So what are we going to do? Have a series of Operation: Firebreak get togethers of course!



We will be meeting up at the following dates, times, and locations and focus on a specific planet at each meeting:

Date: Saturday, May 19th
Time: 7:00pm, Eastern (6:00pm Central) (4:00pm Pacific) (Midnight GMT) (8:00am, May 20th, Japan)
Location: Guardian's Colony Central Table (Colony 1st floor), Universe 15
Purpose: A general meeting to exchange partner cards and meet fellow PSOW members and maybe even set up teams in advance.

Date: Saturday, May 26th
Time: 7:00pm, Eastern (6:00pm Central) (4:00pm Pacific) (Midnight GMT) (8:00am, May 27th, Japan)
Location: Neudaiz, in front of the Pavilion of Air, Universe 15
Purpose: At our first official Firebreak meet, we will be purifying Neudaiz.

Time: 7:00pm, Eastern (6:00pm Central) (4:00pm Pacific) (Midnight GMT) (8:00am, June 3rd, Japan)
Location: Moatoob, in front of the Moatoob Guardians Branch, Universe 15.
Purpose: Moatoob needs some purification before Parum gets new missions and everyone heads there.

Time: 7:00pm, Eastern (6:00pm Central) (4:00pm Pacific) (Midnight GMT) (8:00am, June 10th, Japan)
Location: Parum, West District Juice Bar, Universe 15.
Purpose: With Neudaiz finished, we need a place to go between Moatoob meets.

Time: 7:00pm, Eastern (6:00pm Central) (4:00pm Pacific) (Midnight GMT) (8:00am, June 17th, Japan)
Location: Moatoob, in front of the Moatoob Guardians Branch, Universe 15.
Purpose: Parum is well on the way towards purification, Moatoob still needs a lot of help!

Date: Saturday, June 23rd
Time: 7:00pm, Eastern (6:00pm Central) (4:00pm Pacific) (Midnight GMT) (8:00am, June 24th, Japan)
Location: Parum, West District Juice Bar, Universe 15.
Purpose: One last push in the purification effort. Might as well head to the least purified planet, right?

Each meeting should last about one hour before teams set out to purify the Gurhal System. I personally will be taking pictures at each meet up--subsequently posting them here on PSOW, as well as distributing cash and prizes at random.

I would urge all participants to include "PSOW" as part of each game name, or some place in the comment box. I would also like to see teams using the (un)official PSOW password (5842 (http://www.pso-world.com/viewtopic.php?topic=138522&forum=8&15)) for your games to allow late comers into a group.

I feel this event can be a great way to meet new PSOWers, help the entire NA/EU/JP 360 community, and have fun playing some relaxed, unique missions with fellow PSOWers.

I will send out mass PMs to Team 360 members (PM me if you wish to join!) to remind them of each meet.

Me and my friend are already making a fire break team called the V-Squad, we just purify stuff all day every day for the whole month, stay at one planet till its purified then move to the next.

Parum of course will also be our final stop, and thats when we get our best weapons, get pumped and purify it like big purifying machines!

Essentially, there will be new missions available on all 3 planets. All you have to do is play through these missions until the planet is "purified"

It doesn't matter what rank you do this in, in terms of scoring points. But to take advantage of the stupidly high payouts and just as absurdly high drop rates for resin and polymer, you need to do these missions on A.

Just wanted to let everyone know that since we have 5 weeks for Firebreak, we decided to hold off on making specific locations until we can get a handle on the purification levels. Would be kind of pointless to meet up and purify a planet that is already purified, right?

I'll try to keep the large scale changes to a minimum, and will try to plan out the meets as far ahead of time as possible.

Any Team 360 members will still receive a team PM for each meet, and if there are any more developments.

"The SEED had made a large offensive and caused widespread infection accross the three planets. GUARDIANS have been called en masse to stem the alarming rate of infection."

Basically most of the free missions in the game are removed, and seven event-exclusive missions are added. The missions - exclusively containing Fire-elements - largely entail the use of a Photon Eraser given during the missions (and can be returned at the end of the event) in order to purify the mission areas. Four of these missions are on Parum, two on Neudaiz, and one on Moatoob.

Player-exclusive rewards are available through the use of a mission at the GUARDIANS Branch on the Colony, where players can trade a certain number of the Ban-photons they had inevitably amassed for various prizes as follows:

01 Burn Trap
05 Burn Trap G
10 Cave Red
20 BR Burning Poster
30 Scape Doll
40 Jellen
50 Berry Red
60 Shifta
70 Gibarta

The total mission points earned by the server from the missions on Parum, Neudaiz and Moatoob are rewarded with discounts on clothing for a week after the event concludes:

For Parum, there is a 5% discount for every 2.5 million points, up to 50% off at 25 million points.
For Neudaiz, there is a 5% discount for every 1 million points, up to 50% off at 10 million points.
For Moatoob, there is a 5% discount for every 1.5 million points, up to 50% off at 15 million points.
Finally, the sum total of all mission points on all planets server-wide had additional rewards:

In order to receive the Frying Pan, players must have cleared every mission in the event. It shall be delivered to players sometime after the event ends.

EDIT: some extra info.

As well as the usual benefits, completion of the SEED missions scores purification points (PPs). These points are not scored or collected as an individual, and instead go toward an overall world total (for either Parum, Moatoob or Neudaiz) and a grand total for all PPs scored by all players on all missions. Each planet has a target number of points, when reached, the planet is completely purified.

In other words rather than staying on one planet running the same purification mission over and over please spread out to the other planets. We have to purify each planet seperately.

I suggest purifying Neudaiz first, then Moatoob, then Parum. People that played the JP firebreak said that Neudaiz is the easiest to purify so it should be done first.

Moatoob hasn't really picked up any after Neudaiz finished. We're going to have our work cut out for us. We may have to make a return to Moatoob next week as well if things don't change.

If you haven't been to Moatoob yet, the mission is very fun. And if you really want to help the purification effort, I suggest C rank runs. Shorter time limit, and the enemies are going to go down FAST.

As I suggested before, C runs would be the quickest way to purify, hopefully everyone takes my advice.

Just a question . Do you think it would be wiser for me to Switch back to Fortetecher for the run on Moatoob? Right now I've been in the process of leveling up my bullets as a Guntecher, but they are still pretty low. I just ask because I don't want to be a liability to any team I join up with.

It'd probably depend on the difficulty you're doing. A and maybe B runs would benefit from a full fledged techer more than a novice gunner. C ranks can be plowed through easily unless the team is full of crazy race/class combos XD

No, I haven't leveled my Twin handgun or Rifle bullets that much. Plus I just tried doing a C run and it took me the whole time just to get through 50 enemies. I'm probably going back to fT, at least for today.

Some mixed reactions from this meetup. We had a huge initial turnout, the largest we've had yet, fantastic! However, half of you left after a single run! It was very disheartening to see people hanging around the oasis for so darn long as well.

Huge turnout but as Sychosis said, it all ended a bit abruptly. Although I must say Moatoob was at 17% at 7pm east. and was almost 19% by around 9pm. Coincidence? It looks like we really can make a difference after all.
For someone like me, who absolutely loved the endless nightmare missions of PSO, this mission gives a very similar feel.
You would think more people would be purifying the hell outta this place....???
