When i sign on to PSU it says license expired, but when i check on the computer at playsega on my account it says active can anyone help.

Don't worry! you're definetly not alone it's happening to me also. like I was on like an hour ago and I come back to find out my license expired and I freaked out thinking I didn't have cash on my debit card @_e and then I got paranoid thinking I was permabanned and then I went to check Playsega and it said that my account was active..i'm so glad i'm not the only one with this issue http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime2.gif

Well i have been reading around lately and people at gfaqs boards and PSU official boards are having the same problem.I sent sega a email i will update and tell you what they tell me when i get a response.

currently there has been a number of issues in resuming previously cancelled accounts. it appears the issue began sunday 5/13. we are currently working on resolving the issue with our billing processor and trying to get everyones account resumed properly.

as of now, if you are receiving this error 65 (or problems in resuming an old account) please use the following steps to help us get your accoutn straightened out.

1. make sure your account is cancelled (it will go into a pending state)
2. do NOT make any changes or adjustments to your billing information, details, or account information
3. please wait until your account has completely cancelled (processed through the pending state)
4. once your account is fully cancelled (not in 'pending cancellation') select 'new subscription' from your playsega account.
5. enter all your valid billing information just as you did before and create a new subscription (this will not affect your character data as it linked to your game ID)

the following is important to remember when going through this process:

* do NOT click 'resume' at any point after you have marked your current account for cancellation. doing so will only prolong the time it will take to get your account back up and running


if you have any further questions regarding your account or this process, pleasde contact the billing and accounts support team.

they are going to cancel all accounts. They expect you to remake it. From scratch. Your characters are still on the server and are linked to your ID. But you have to deleat your current subscription and reenter all of your stuff...Sega had a fuck up.

I heard new accounts are working fine...

I think is only for people re-activating their old accounts.

its not just people re-activating their old accounts cause my account has been going for a while, i got offline yesterday for like 10 minutes then tryed to get back on and that thing came up and wouldnt let me get online.

I had a subscription renewal around this time, they didn't charge me on the 12th when they said they would on the billing site, inadvertendly dropped my account below $10 and figured whenever they finally tried to bill me they saw a lack of funds, now I see folks are having a mass problem concerning this time frame!

edit- on a side note, go look at the new subscription option, it reads like you are opening up a BB account, either its linking to the wrong spot or some jack bum copied and pasted the wrong segments! -endedit

Meh im so bored without PSU its not much to do now thats its getting hot.I usually just spend my summer days under the AC playing PSU now i cant even enjoy my favorite past time.DAMN SEGA.

Iam also having this problem and i called Sega (UK) and all they did was take to take my details (account username, My name, E-mail address and Phone number) and say they'll call me back. but i have done the cancel-wait thing without waiting for them.

Ah well at least ive now got a excuse to 1.Watch Black Lagoon 2.Play PS 2,3,4 on my Sega Collection and 3. start playing Shining Force EXA (had it since luanch but havent played it yet)

well my accounts old subscription is now canceled but i now get a General Error when i try to buy a new one. However the answer maybe a SEGA mess-up after all as the UK/EU Subscription option now has a 60day 1 off payment option That STATS £15.0 (not £15.00) as its price.

A note to everyone with "ON HOLD" accounts, this is what worked for me:

1. I see that my account is "ON HOLD" status.
2. I resume my subscription.
3. Right after I resume my subscription, I cancelled it again.
4. The account cancellation went through in under a minute.
5. After the cancellation goes through, then go to the "New Subscription" option, and fill out all the required information.

After that, you should be good to go.

Make sure that when you go to the "New Subscription" option, the description talks about PSU, not PSO:BB. I accidently made the mistake of subscribing to a PSO:BB subscription, even though the website had me agree to the PSU Terms of Service. (lol)

Mine isn't on hold, in fact, I have nothing that shows the status of my subscription at all x_x ...Only the notice "Your subscription will expire on 14 May 2007 01:00 BST"

Payment still won't go through, I get the failed one showing up in my 'view purchases' but no progress on this...

"Sigh" Wish they would get this fixed >.<;;;

If you get error 198 upon creating a new subscription, just wait a few minutes then try again.

Do NOT know why but now iam Not getting a general error but now a High Risk Flag. it states due to incorrect or incomplete information but how can that be its the same card with the same information iam even using the details of my old Subscription (what it will display) to check what iam imputing is correct.

Oh well iam going to try a few more time around midday (UK) and if it doesnt work and SEGA still do not reply to me (either my phone call or the email i just sent em) buy tonigth ill mail em one more time and get trading standreds on to this as it is annoying and affected and affecting a fair few people in both Regions.

Sega has somewhat of a solution you need to wait 24-48hrs as a previous poster posted.Then once it finally says cancelled you can resume it.Sadly i spent the last little bit of money on my card.I hought sega would give me a week long run around now im broke,but tommorrow is pay day *(^_^)*
