Whats with fashion trends!

Is it jus me or ist it when a new artical of clothing comes out almost half of psu's population is buyin it. Like no offence it does look cool but the recently added beast vest thingy when it hit the shop thats almost all I saw. people should try to separate them selves from the norm. mix it up a lil, try it you might find something kool lookin you never know.

Unfortunately, trying to be original with such a limited set of choices really isnt that easy. I always make a point not to buy clothes unless I actually like them. Just because its new doesn't mean its good. I loved it when the Cast wings were unlocked and every freakin' Cast ran around with those stupid things for a few days until they realized how ridiculous they looked.

I put on the entire flaxo outfit, the same thing I've had since it was released, now I plan to change that in the expansion (probably to what I wore in the beta, actually XD), but don't count on that happening any time soon.

True it is a matter of opinion. But I would rather run around with ass scissors (Raptus) or and fanny pack (Hounds) than a half skirt in the back. I actually like the legs until I rotated the model...

Normally, I wear mixed clothing. However my current outfit for Tynselle has nothing to do with trying to be the norm. Surprisingly enough, even though the White vest top is a little more common (it's the only version that goes with Tynselle's hair), the combination of that vest top and Western bottoms is actually more unusual. I've only seen one other person wearing the same outfit Tynselle has, and I know that person.

Then again, no matter what outfit Tynselle wears, nobody will still look like her. However, anybody who's known me since I joined this site, and even mentioned about my character could guess I would be *gunnin'*(appropriately chosen word) for that kind of outfit well before they even released pics of it.

Tynselle doesn't follow fashion trends. She follows what outfits are perfectly her type to wear. Everything is about character first.

I just buy what I like. In fact rarely do I ever end up wearing a non-mixed outfit. Sometimes I don't wear certain clothes period (no shoes or no shirt) and it ends up looking all right >.>

Well, yeah I'm not to found of anything other then the arms myself. They are meant to be upper class parts and i think that they pulled it off quite nicely. I don't think that it appeals to many though.

It's rather annoying to wait for so long and FINALLY see that the caseal long skirt is available. And is perfect for my FOcaseal and her priestly hat. Then more than 60% of caseals are wearing it who aren't FO's.

That Ramar samurai thing is the ugliest cross between future and past. Sometimes mixing things can make a whole new trend for yourself, but that is just the epitome of phail and embarassment. Fashion disaster (that includes almost every hideous character on PSU (mostly everybody)). That Ramar=crash and burn, much.

As for pants/shorts, I have the Phanis Pants[blue] as one of my faved clothes, and the Seyagya Shorts[which look like men's swimming trunks], again, very casual. I hate the 'hotpants' clothes... Classica and Gojgoj Shorts are the uglyest...

As for boots/shoes, I like the Prita Short Boots, which relly are just shoes with long socks... and as shoes, I like the GuardlessShortBoots, which, honestly, are SHOES! And i like the Flaxo Shoes >.>; And I do not wear shoes with shorts... Boots on shorts only!

As for CAST parts, sence my only CAST is far too tall and wide for some parts to look good, and his Class gives him a forced RAcast appearance-or-be-creepy-looking show boat... he uses the bulkiest set combo there is! Boxtos Arms, Giminas Torso, and Boxtos Legs. So, he has a Truck's front end as a Chest plate, Beerkegs for legs, and Gundam arms.

I WOULD have used the Giminas Legs[which are twice as big as the Boxtos Legs], if the legs didn't have the freaking butt plate the size of a truck hood...

Not only that, but you'd see a lot more combinations of clothing in general. The reason why I don't mix certain clothing parts is strictly on account of colour clash. Otherwise, I'd be wearing even more combinations of clothing than I do now.

I desired the caseal skirt from a long time. I'm not going to change it easily and no, it doesnt look so "force" to me, instead it looks very knightly like.

As for my flesh character, I wear a nice combination of the new phansis vest (white), karawai shorts (white), classica boots (white), works great with my black skin and my headband ( see my signature )

Well what do you want people to do lol? Its not like we can make our own cast parts/clothes and just like the missions we do, everyone goes to easiest one. You can mix and match, but you have a limit. And if Sega would release clothes more often then this wouldn't such a problem, but Sega won't do that so when the next clothes release comes, expect everyone to wear those also.

Casts are severly limited in what they can choose from. The cast female line had some pretty slutty/ugly parts until those new parts that everyone wanted came out. Same goes with cast male except those wings are hideous. I never could find a good color combo to go with them because they looked retarded and ugly.

Its like when that trenchcoat outfit comes out. Everyone and their mom will be in it including myself. I could care less who else is wearing it. Just thank god that there IS customization in this game unlike many mmos out there lol. Ex : FFXI, nuff said.

Oh dunno if OP is on 360 since I didn't look at sig, but if so, then thats why I never complain about fashion because ps2/pc community is small lol.

Naturally, the majority of people are going to wear what's new. It's not surprising to see a lot of females wearing the new Moatoob stuff, or male CAST with the wing arm attachments, or female CAST with the long skirt.

I'm waiting for the Bunbun outfit to be released; that's my absolute favorite and will not come off my Fortefighter. :3 She's currently wearing the Phasnis vest with Gojgoj shorts and boots, but I think I'll change that soon. My Newman has on full Flaxo, and my CAST has on a mixture of the older parts, nothing new.

I've pretty much bought out the Moatoob and Neudaiz shops of their clothes...all red or orange or white since my main character is based around red. I tend to change quite often, like once every few days sometimes multiple times a day if I don't like what I'm wearing. I like keeping my character unique and she tends to stay that way because I'm always changing for one, and two, few people have a super short beast girl with freckles, deep green eyes, and bright red hair tied off near the bottom(I'll see about posting a pic or her soon so you can see what I mean). Granted even though there is customization, there are a lot of people on this game so I do find people wearing my same clothes sometimes but I've only seen one person who looked like Sora(my beasts name) and I'm very proud of that. I tend to try to stay away from the phanis jacket on her even though I own it because everyone is wearing it. Right now Sora's wearing Classica Tunic, Seyaga Shorts and I think the boots are Seyaga but I don't remember for sure and am not at home to check. Anyways, all I'm trying to say is uniqueness is there if that's what you're looking for, even on the 360 servers.


[EDIT] actually looking at my avatar...that looks kinda like Sora except Sora has whiter skin, very green eyes and a rounder face.

Some might have noticed (or not since I'm so unimportant) most of my outfits are just sets of the same series, because like another said most clothes (in my mind) just don't cross with each other, most due to color schemes.

The way I see it Sega allowed the ability to mix and match clothing to encourage individuality, so why then can't we choose things such as colors schemes as well? Especially when most doesn't work, like I said before.

And of course I'm not hoping for such a feature in the expansion. Expectations are traitorous things.

I only wear white outfits, because it fits the super model theme that I go for. So my variety is very limited because of this. St. Patricks day was the only acception from wearing white. The choices are to limited for me to care about changing outfits numerously.

Not only does the coat look awesome, but the pants are like cool slacks, which the current PSU has VERY little of (read: Braves ST Pants and maybe Flaxo Pants are it). There's way too little cool options in the pants, and too many shorts if you ask me.

I just don't think any of the male clothes mesh well at all, female clothes less so. CASTs have it the easiest; all their parts can stand on their own regardless of where they come from. They appear far more feasible when mixed up.

Personally, I've always preferred full sets of clothing. Until the Nobles set is released I'll be using the Innocent collection for my male Human.

I'm pretty sure most CASTs are going to buy the RAcast set when AoI comes out--myself included. There's a lot of us out there that were going for the RAcast look. I originally wore Gimnas arms and torso with Lobas legs, which I then switched out for the Boktos set (with the exception of the Gimnas torso).

I hadn't seen anyone with this combination before, until I looked up earlier in the thread ... d'ough!

I think the main thing is ... PSU actually offers quite a lot of clothing. The problem is ... it doesn't offer as many color variants as PSO did for the classes. This also applies to CASTs, as we only get two colors to work with when it comes to our bodies, although PSO's color variants could include multiple colors. Having the ability to use different color combinations on even just our three part areas would make that better.

I'll admit that's a chore to do, but it would help with character customization I think. I know one of my friends laments that PSU doesn't offer any actual military-like clothing for non-CASTs (save the AMF one piece, and is that even here yet?). He rejoiced when he saw the HUmar and RAmar outfits would make it to PSU in AoI.

Even so, there still ought to be more clothing like that, I think. I don't know if everyone out there really wants to look like a fashion model, especially since the oldschool Phantasy Star games had that "halfplates and capes" thing going for it.

I rather like Omega's RAmar-samurai outfit. Whether it wins any fashion awards or not, it at least looks original and flavourful, and that's the whole point of the system.

I tend to favour more eclectic looks, myself. I too see a lot of cookie-cutter looks these days, so I mix it up. I favour a Boaboa Vest with Phanis Pants and Flaxo Shoes on Allison; Ollie's currently rocking a funky green Boaboa Vest + Flaxo Pants + Seyagya Short Boots combo. With Terra, I tend to overuse the Agriel Arms + Batrelle Torso + Batrelle Legs outfit, but I also like Batrelle Arms + Digiel Torso + Batrelle Legs. Since I went PT, I've been going for a somewhat less "armoured," more rangery look--Epicarel Arms + Agriel Torso + Gimnael Legs does the job there, IMO.

Well when i get back online on my pc version (used to be online, but quit, plan to come back in a couple days.) ill probably resume what i do in just about any game that allows customization of your char....i go with whatever i think fits best to the over all theme i come up with in my mind for my char when i make it. Ive never cared much if everyone else used something i use, i use what i like.
