"Toss" gets annoying when it's censored. No one knows what the heck you're talking about.

They should have stuck to the well known offensive terms, and left it at that. The censorship in PSU is pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, D.j. Rain already told us, didn't you remember? lol

Let's see...what other word did I find odd?

Oh, right!

Try saying this phrase: B in the end.

For example: So, I was doing VoC in a random group. Some guy comes in and dies twice. We got a B in the end.

What that ends up looking like is: So, I was doing VoC in a random group. Some guy comes in and dies twice. We got a @ #$ !@# #$%.

You think that putting them together would make the word, but it doesn't. What you get is: So, I was doing VoC in a random group. Some guy comes in and dies twice. We got a bintheend.

If anyone can explain what the hell that means, then, thank you! http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

True story, btw

The phrase "Isn't/wasn't/can't it?" gets pwned too. "It's a great day, isn'@ #!?" "Man, wasn'@ #! a crazy run?" "Ugh, my PM sucks, can'@ #! ever get a damn synth right?"

And yet I can let out a stream of every variant of the F-word known to man, and not a single bit of it is censored. The hell?

At least we can finally say shoes and saturday. We can also finally say 'Frozen Shooter' and 'Ano Rifle', now that we have no need to ever do so...

The censor makes no fucking sense. Which really isn't anything new, it always has, but it's like... One step forward, two steps back. :-/

At least in PSU you can say Saturday, Shoes, and Basement.

What annoys me is that I can't say 'Isn't it'. And yes, I know why it's censored, still stupid though. There's also the fact you can still curse a lot by using the plural version http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_lol.gif

Omega_Weltall

the censor was created by a NON NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKER! So they probley censored words he "heard" were rude er offensive wich realy arent. Costo... no clue and the SD or Sex Doll thing is a Japanese fetish, i'm sure some people here have it but its more common in Japan.

Sekani
May 20, 2007, 09:58 AM
I guess in other languages it's perfectly logical to squash an entire sentence once a word with a 2% chance of being offensive is detected.

I kind of looked up Wikipedia and it can also mean some kind of Nazi thing or whatever. As for breasts, you can say breasts in plural form, but you can't say breast, as in the singular form.

Actually Bin automatically blocked the next 6 letters afterward no matter what the were. When Deja was taking pics for the comic people were saying random things like @!% !%#@!%ate which would be bin chocolate(don't ask).

SuperRygar

bin is blocked cause of osama BIN ladin, when it sees "b in" it assumes your trying to communicate with him and blocks you off http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

feat is blocked!

its a strange thing but really..who cares? does the game suck now cuz u cant say boobies? any of these words can be said by adding any letter at the end or certain symbols. just say dopee

and the censor is not mistaken, that's the wrong phrase for this topic

The word "breast" is censored, but not "breasts". Both of which are silly, because that's the most non-offensive word for the front of the top torso there is. The bible says it, doctors say it, butchers say it, it's a good word. There's no reason to block it.

Also, Huevos.

Is boobies censroed? If so Soniccu Team will get smited

Zorafim
May 20, 2007, 12:32 PM
No, I don't think boobies is censored.

I'd also like to add in the fact that the most customizable part of a female character is the breast size, and that it changes significantly when wanted. They also bounce when disturbed. All this, and they won't even let you say the word "breast".

How on earth Sonic Team have the right to censor the English language has always baffled me. Most of the censored words can be found in any English dictionary and are therefore used in everyday life. Also! You could argue that psu is a violent game... I've never understood how "foul" language gets worse censorship than violence does. It's always made me laugh, in the US whip out a gun and no one flinches, whip out a cigarette tho and everyone is disgusted... :/

Oh btw... "Toss" means to masturbate in the UK...

That's a flaw that I don't like with the censor. It'll filter it even if there's a space in between the word, but yet, you make it plural, change the part of speech, or change the tense, you can bypass it.

It's just lovely http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif

But, ~ always works (although, the word prostitute can't get bypassed that way, lol) http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_razz.gif

That's the only thing I could think of, but doesn't sound right as well. who would say cu = cum when you could easily rephrase it as kum = cum?

"cu" gets me all the time.
I don't have a keyboard and often find shortcuts to talk. So one phrase I naturally say often is:
c u later.

Great, it comes out @%# later.

http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/anime1.gif'

What's worse is that if a phrase of mine gets censored, sometimes it could be taken as me cursing off someone else when it's a totally inoccent message. But since I can only type slowly, it's difficult to correct miscommunicated stuff.

Romanji versions of japanese curse words are censored for those who were wondering. And all these are easy to get around: you can use the @ symbol I've heard, and a / as well. For instance, Help is censored so you can write he/p or he/lp. As for Invite or Inv, you can write 'vite me instead.
