Why is it called "Fresh Kills Landfills"? Did anyone come up with this name or what?

That's a good question. Maybe conversations that are not really of great importance are sent here, so they are freshly killed. Idaknow.

Yeah...I noticed http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_wacko.gif

Same goes for the name "Dead Horse Society". There is probably an answer to this, the names just sound very awkward.

Well, dead horse is as in "beating a dead horse." Ranting about things long past their prime or more than necissary.

Because that one house is white. And that other house on the street is pink. Must be communists in the pink house. http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_eek.gif

Who actually came up with the name anyway? Can any mod shed some light to this?

Probably one of the old admins. I'm thinking Loli or Saladwood.

No, actually the French embassy is located in this building:

I think the pink house is a patisserie.
