a lot of folks complain about synth, and I was thinking of a possible fix:

synth rates improved, however high % armors and melee weapons would be more likely on a pure PM.

For tech and ranged weapons, improve the rates, and a failed synth would return some of the ingredients, to allow for more tries.

It's a good idea though, they need to do that with all weapons and armors. Maybe you would get some of the woods and stuff back, but the photons would vanish?

I like it, it'll bring down the cost of high % weapons which are rediculously high.

I like the idea of GUARANTEED synths, but higher %'s with higher levels. That way I can get whatever element I want, no matter what, just not always super strong. Keep in mind, even with a pure, the chances for 50% would only be around 10%.

As for Ranged and Force... I kinda like the idea of for every 20 levels in that category, you get 2% towards it coming out as a kubara weapon.. or grinded, or something.

Perhaps the Native %'s? (Percent damage increases based on planet/enemy type.. but not element. Think Birds Vs. Mini's Vs. Walkers Vs. Giants http://www.pso-world.com/images/phpbb/icons/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif)

I like it. It does help to actually REWARD people that put the blood sweat and tears into stuff. When they put so much into chance, with such a penalty, it really doesn't reward the right people at all. It all boils down to simple luck. That means, the game still rewards the lucky and not the hard-working since so many cases of the *lucky* newer person getting all the spoils is so prevalent in this game.

indeed, I introduced a gf to the game, she plopped a 5* twin dagger board into her 43 strike PM, and popped out a 50% dark set of daggers. Now she does not play :-/

I'd like it better if we didn't have to synth guns and wands since they come out neutral anyway.
